I’m a trauma-informed therapist with eight years of experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and complex relationship patterns. I have completed foundational trauma and EMDR training and am currently working toward EMDR certification. My approach is rooted in compassion, cultural humility, and respect for each person’s lived experience. I’m especially passionate about working with BIPOC clients, children of immigrants, and those healing intergenerational trauma. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, affirmed, and safe.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I integrate CBT, person-centered, and trauma-focused approaches to help process unresolved experiences, shift limiting beliefs, and build healthier patterns. Clients often describe me as grounded, validating, and gently direct, and my goal is to support you in moving from survival mode to more intentional, empowered living—at your own pace. Our first session is a space to get to know you, without pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, what feels most important right now, and what you hope will feel different. I’ll guide the conversation with gentle questions about your history, current stressors, relationships, and patterns you’ve noticed, while making sure you feel comfortable and in control of what you share. We’ll also begin to clarify your goals and what working together may look like. If trauma is part of your story, we’ll focus on building safety and trust before moving into deeper processing. You’ll have space to ask questions about my approach, so by the end of the session you have a clearer sense of next steps—and whether we feel like a good fit.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a trauma-informed, culturally attuned approach that helps clients understand the roots of their patterns while building practical tools for change. I’m skilled at identifying relational and attachment dynamics and guiding clients toward healthier ways of relating. Clients often experience me as warm, grounded, and gently direct, creating a space that is safe, validating, and growth-focused. I integrate insight-oriented work with structured methods like CBT, supporting both awareness and skill-building. At the core of my work is an empowerment-based approach, helping clients reclaim their narratives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are people who are ready to go deeper than just coping, they genuinely want to heal. Many are navigating anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, or noticing patterns in relationships that leave them feeling unseen or not fully chosen. I especially connect with BIPOC clients and children of immigrants who are unpacking intergenerational trauma, cultural expectations, and the pressure to hold it all together. Often, they look high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally. They’re thoughtful, self-aware (or wanting to be), and curious about the “why” behind their patterns. They want practical tools, but they also want insight. They’re open to doing meaningful work, processing the past, understanding attachment wounds, and building healthier, more intentional relationships. If you’re ready to break cycles, feel more secure within yourself, and move from survival mode into something more grounded and empowered, we’d likely be a great fit.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. In our work together, we’ll explore how your thoughts impact how you feel and respond, and develop practical tools to reframe negative thinking, regulate emotions, and create healthier patterns. CBT is goal-oriented and focused on building skills you can use outside of sessions.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

A a compassionate, client-led approach that creates a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. Through our therapeutic relationship, you can build self-awareness, confidence, and clarity to move toward meaningful change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

An evidence-based approach designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. It combines coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and gradual trauma processing to reduce distress and reshape unhelpful beliefs related to the trauma. This structured, supportive approach helps clients feel safer, more empowered, and better equipped to manage triggers and move forward.
