Since most of what I am doing involves Telehealth, I ask that you cancel ahead of time if you cannot meet per schedule. I will do this as well.
As your therapist, I will:
Respect your privacy
Respect your schedule
Respect your opinions and values
Respect the severity and urgency of your difficulties
Make myself available when you need assistance
Help you find answers and solutions rather than feeling “stuck"

Licensed Psychotherapist | Culturally Sensitive | Trauma-Informed
Welcome, I’m Nubia.
Healing doesn’t happen overnight — but with the right support, it absolutely happens. Whether you're working through trauma, betrayal, anxiety, divorce, or simply feeling emotionally stuck, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, strength, and care.
I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, or emotional wounds that have been hard to process alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure of how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we explore the deeper “why” behind those patterns — and create space for healing, resilience, and growth.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These methods help us understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected — and how to gently shift the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. But beyond technique, I lead with authenticity, compassion, and cultural awareness.
In our sessions, you’ll find a space that feels safe, honest, and judgment-free. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning to it, you are welcome exactly as you are.
Clients often tell me they feel more centered, more empowered, and more hopeful after working together. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and virtual sessions, because healing should fit into real life.
If you’re ready to begin your journey — whether you’re clear on your goals or still figuring them out — I’d be honored to support you.
Let’s take the first step, together.
Warmly,
Nubia Anacius , MS,NBCC,LPC

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for ten years now. You will always know yourself better than I can or will.
From a philosophical and theoretical standpoint. I am overwhelming more of an attachment theorist, and have been known to use existentialism from time to time to help make sense of something. I guess the question that remains though is; can a butterfly flap it's wings in Brazil and cause a or tornado in Kentucky, or are we all simply just products of our childhood and mirrors of our parents traumas?
The duality of life.
Attachment Theory vs. Chaos Theory. Both have value. I digress.
My goal is to provide a petridish in which you can explore your self. Safe. Contained. Yet completely in your control. The paradox being, you likely already have what you need. I'll sit with you while you find it. I can give you my clinical opinion, or diagnosis, and recommendations along the way as well if you'd like that. I can just sit and listen. I can play devils advocate. My job is to listen, empower, observe, and provide feedback when requested.
I’m Phillip, a therapist dedicated to helping people grow into the version of themselves they’ve been working toward—often while navigating heavy pressure. As the son of Chinese immigrants from Mexico, raised in Mississippi, I personally understand the challenge of living between cultures and the "liminal spaces" where identity can feel uncertain.
I focus on helping people work through depression and anxiety, and I'm especially passionate about guiding folks as they grow into the version of themselves, they want to be. Everyone's journey is different, and I'm here to walk alongside you as you find your way.

My approach to therapy is often described as genuine and candid. I try to use as little clinical jargon as possible, my goal is to help you improve, not show off that I went to grad school. Specifically, I want to help you challenge the thoughts and beliefs that may be holding you back. I utilize a variety of approaches such as Client Centered (Rogerian), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), Gottman focused approaches, and Adlerian approaches to name a few. I also believe in using language that makes you comfortable. You can swear and use whatever expletives you want in my office as long as you remain respectful. I make it a point to meet you where you are at and grow from there. Clients who are open and curious tend to see the best results.
