New to Grow
Hi, my name is Kelly and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with 25 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & coping with grief and loss. I believe you are the expert of your story and I will help you find your strengths that will assist in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I look forward to working with you!
In our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. We’ll spend our time talking about what brought you here today and what you’re hoping to change. You can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where you set the pace. Think of this as a 'working conversation' where we’ll begin to outline a roadmap for your healing and ensure you feel comfortable with our partnership moving forward.
What stands out about my approach is the balance of warmth and directness. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels like a real human connection, not a clinical transaction. My strength is in building a safe, non-judgmental space where we can tackle even the heaviest topics with clarity and, when appropriate, a sense of humor. I am particularly skilled at helping clients navigate anxiety, depression and life transitions, providing them with practical coping tools they can use the moment they leave our session. My goal is for you to leave every meeting feeling lighter and more equipped.
I am best positioned to serve adults of all ages—from those entering the workforce to those navigating the transitions of elderhood. My ideal client is someone seeking a collaborative partner to help manage anxiety, life changes, or the weight of family conflict. I find I work best with people who may feel overwhelmed by life’s demands but remain motivated to find balance and resilience. I provide an inclusive, trauma-informed space where we can address your specific goals, whether that involves healing from past wounds or developing practical tools for the present. If you are looking for a therapist who balances professional expertise with a warm, human approach, we will likely be a great fit
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have over 25 years of experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. In our sessions, I use CBT as a practical, goal-oriented tool to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Together, we will work on developing a 'toolkit' of coping strategies that you can apply in real-time to manage stressors and improve your daily quality of life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients navigate intense emotions and improve their interpersonal relationships. In our sessions, I focus on the four core pillars: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. My approach is practical and collaborative, providing you with concrete tools to manage 'in-the-moment' crises while building a life that feels meaningful and balanced
