I am passionate about helping individuals find hope and healing by the process of therapy. I have a holistic approach to understanding my clients and seek to capitalize on their strengths and talents. I view therapy as a collaborative process. I welcome all parts of you to this space, including your Christian faith. As we work together, it is my goal to support you, encourage you, and help you to make sense of your past as you disentangle it from your present. My office is a caring and safe environment to begin transforming your pain to growth. In 2017, I received my training at Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) in Indianapolis, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Later in 2022, I obtained a Doctor of Ministry degree in Practical Theology with a focus on Pastoral Care at CTS. My training focused on psychodynamic theories and techniques in working with individuals, and my theoretical orientation is eclectic as I draw on various therapies and techniques to meet the unique needs of each client; psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered and motivational interviewing are some regularly used approaches. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), having 5+ years of serving individuals with mental health concerns and life challenges. The goal is to walk alongside, support, and challenge people as we work together in meeting therapy goals.

Do you ever feel stuck, alone, or disconnected from the world around you? If so, you are not alone, and I would be honored to be someone with whom you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My name is Jess, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults. In addition to seeing clients on Grow, I work full-time as a licensed school social worker serving students in kindergarten through 5th grade. My background also includes private practice work with children, adolescents and adults, giving me a well-rounded perspective on the unique challenges people face at different stages of life. I strive to create a space that feels warm, compassionate, and welcoming. If you are looking for someone who is friendly, supportive, and deeply committed to helping you navigate life’s ups and downs, you have found the right person. I believe in empowering my clients, highlighting their strengths, and walking alongside them as they work toward growth and healing. My goal is to help you feel understood, capable, and confident as you move forward. Together, we will work toward helping you move through obstacles, build on your strengths, and reach your full potential. I also want to share that I am a mom and understand firsthand that parenting brings its own unique challenges. Navigating your own worries, responsibilities, and emotions while also caring for and guiding little humans is no small task. As a mom, I truly understand the balancing act, the stress, the pressure, and the deep love that comes with it. In my free time I love to garden, hang with my family and kiddos, macrame, paint, create, meditate, practice sound healing, hike, camp, and listen to music.

Are you feeling stuck and unsure of how to get past symptoms of anxiety, depression or past trauma? It's common to experience mental health-related challenges in life and to get stuck at times. We're not born with a built-in understanding of how to be psychologically healthy, so sometimes it's a good idea to get a little guidance from an unbiased professional. My ideal client is motivated to understand themselves better and to make the necessary adjustments to improve their quality of life.

You can call me Dan. From a young age I was interested in a career that focused on helping people. I smile when I think about it, but there was a time I thought a career in medicine was what I wanted but I am so bad at math that didn't work out very well. There was a time I thought I was being called into ministry as a pastor, and I wanted to be a pastor that could counsel, but circumstances didn't allow that to happen either. Maybe it's ironic and maybe it's not but I'm not really that much of a talker so I never dreamed that becoming a therapist would be my thing. But then again, therapy is a lot about listening and I do that really well. I enjoy helping others move from places of frustration, and sometimes despair to places of hope and healing. I have always been taught that people deserve respect and to be treated with dignity regardless of what their issue is or where they come from and that is a value I continue to hold. I also find it interesting that the three careers I pursued had their focus in the three things I still believe are important for a life of fulfillment, purpose, and contentment and those are physical health, spiritual health and mental health. I received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1991, a Masters in Social Work degree in 1996 and my License as a Clinical Social Worker in 1997. I went back to school in 2016 and obtained a MBA in Healthcare Management in 2017. My 30 year career in mental health has been split between providing clinical services, supervising others in their provision of clinical services and administration in the area of Healthcare Quality and Compliance.

Welcome! My name is Carmen, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Prior to opening my private practice, Abiding Connections LLC, I spent much of my career specializing in hospice and palliative care as a medical social worker. This work has deeply shaped both my professional path and my personal understanding of life, connection, and meaning. Through these experiences, I have been honored to walk alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most tender moments—learning invaluable lessons about resilience, community, and the importance of compassionate presence. It would be a privilege to bear witness to both your struggles and your triumphs, and to walk with you for a season of your journey. Life is not meant to be navigated alone. Hi! For over 10 years, I’ve walked alongside children, teens, and adults who felt stuck in places they never meant to camp - whether that’s addiction, anxiety, depression, or the lingering effects of trauma. Change rarely happens all at once; it unfolds gradually, step by step, often across uneven ground. I see my role as helping you find your bearings, lighten what you’ve been carrying, and building skills to navigate challenges with steadiness and clarity. I offer therapy that is steady and relational, grounded in genuine connection. We’ll look beneath the surface at the stories and patterns that have shaped your path so far, with warmth and consistent support along the way.

Hey there. I'm Dennis aka Denny Bartsch. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the field for over 15 years. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Strength Based techniques in my practice. I'm a goofy social worker who likes to use a non-confrontational approach to working with my clients. I do believe that you know your story/life better than I ever will so I believe in what you have to say. One thing that makes me pretty different from other service providers is that I saw a need for session times available for clients later in the day and evening so I decided to have my scheduled be from Monday through Friday's from 12:30pm EST to 9pm EST. I hope to accommodate more people this way. I like to use humor and positive support for my client's as we go on this journey together to helping you achieve the goals we identify in session together. My goal is to work towards you having the skills, support, and confidence you need to be successful. I like to think outside of the box when I work with my client's so you just wait and see! Therapy doesn't need to be scary. Let's work together and maybe laugh through some of it. We got this! Together!

I am Becka Oberle and I am a licensed Clinical social worker who has worked in the counseling field for 30 plus years. My approach to my work is very client centered but also engage person to person allowing my clients to feel more comfortable while still creating a therapeutic relationship and environment. I am goal focused and like to always I provide actions and tools for my clients so they are making continuous growth. I have used many tools in my career knowing not everyone connects in the same way and thinking outside the box is vital. In my career 3 of my dogs have worked with me as trained therapy dogs and one of my horses worked with me doing equine therapy. I look at each person as an individual and use their strengths and talents to help them learn to express and walk through life's struggles. I find not everyone is most comfortable with talking or writing so will encourage a client to use a drawing journal to express feelings when that is something they enjoy and feel more confident in using. I am a christian based counselor and will, at client request, use a faith based approach that can add an added support for the client. I am so blessed to have had this as my career and have worked with clients of all ages starting my career on the cancer center a Riley hospital for Children, moving to a locked unit with juvenile offenders ages 5-11, equine assisted therapy for at risk teens, to working with seniors in long term care or living at home. I am now doing my work from home making the progression as people have been given this as a source of support and allowing them to get help from home.

Do you often feel overwhelmed with life? Or do you feel that something from your past is keeping you stuck? I can help with anxiety, depression, past trauma, negative self talk, relationship issues and more. I have found great success with walking along side the people I work with to help them move from where they are to where they want to be…wherever that might be! I’m nonjudgmental and accepting of all walks of life- LGBTQIA+ individuals are welcome. I didn’t get into therapy to “fix” people, I use my practice to guide and help find new ways of doing or looking at things. I love being able to track the progress my clients make when they utilize the skills we’ve talked about in session. I use a mix of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for most cases. For those suffering from PTSD, I use my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional training which includes somatic (body) work along with narrative work, all of which is grounded in the neuroscience of trauma. I have my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate as well, meaning I am aptly trained to help with anyone transitioning into new parenthood. I’m not overly concerned with labels and diagnoses, I’m just here to help you make changes to function and feel better day to day. If you think my approach sounds like it would help you, please reach out and we can schedule our first session to determine if we’ll be a good fit to work together moving forward. I genuinely can’t wait to meet you.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Indiana rather than a city like Indianapolis?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Indiana. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Indiana from Fort Wayne to Evansville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Indiana.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Grief?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Grief, is filtering therapists in Indiana that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
