I am a compassionate and goal-oriented therapist who specializes in supporting individuals navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. As a person of faith, I value compassion, authenticity, purpose, and perseverance, and I believe healing involves caring for the mind, emotions, and overall well-being. My values help guide the empathy, encouragement, and support I bring into the therapeutic space. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, direct, and rooted in kindness. I utilize evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Humanistic techniques to help clients build practical tools, increase emotional insight, and create meaningful change. I believe healing is about growing into a healthier version of yourself while remaining connected to your authentic identity and values. I understand how overwhelming life can feel when you are carrying challenges alone or do not yet have the tools to navigate them. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and capable of moving forward with greater confidence, balance, and self-understanding.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you can begin sharing your story at your own pace. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are currently facing, your personal goals, and any important experiences that may have shaped where you are today. We will also review important clinical and legal aspects of therapy, including HIPAA, confidentiality, limits of confidentiality, and the intake process so you feel informed and comfortable moving forward. This helps establish clarity around how therapy works and what you can expect from our work together. I use the first session as an opportunity to better understand your strengths, coping patterns, relationships, and overall emotional well-being so we can begin identifying the most effective approach for your needs. You can expect a collaborative conversation where you are heard, supported, and encouraged at a pace that feels right for you. My approach is both compassionate and goal-oriented, meaning we will not only process emotions and experiences, but also begin exploring practical tools and strategies that can help you navigate everyday life more effectively. Most importantly, the first session is about building trust, establishing connection, and creating a plan that supports your growth, healing, and overall well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to build genuine and relatable connections with clients while still providing direction, structure, and meaningful support. I understand that life’s challenges can feel heavy at times, especially when navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship stress, or major life transitions, and I strive to create a space where clients can speak openly and honestly about what they are facing. My approach is compassionate, direct, and practical. I believe therapy should go beyond simply talking through problems and instead equip clients with real-life tools and strategies they can use in their everyday lives. I work collaboratively with clients to increase self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and help them move through life with greater confidence and clarity. Clients often appreciate that I am understanding, down-to-earth, and goal-oriented while still encouraging accountability and personal growth. My goal is to help clients feel supported while empowering them to navigate life in a healthier, more balanced, and authentic way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may be feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, depression, and struggling with self-esteem issues. They are looking for guidance in processing their thoughts and emotions, and need support navigating life transitions, whether it’s a major change or a period of uncertainty. This individual is open to self-reflection and growth, but may feel stuck or unsure of how to move forward. Together, we will work on identifying and understanding the root causes of their challenges, creating practical coping strategies, and developing a healthy, balanced mindset. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where they can work through these issues at their own pace and begin to find clarity and peace in their life.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

In session, I use psychodynamic principles to help clients explore how past experiences and early relationships may be influencing current thoughts, emotions, and patterns. We look at recurring themes and emotional triggers to build deeper self-awareness and understanding. The goal is to connect insight with the present, helping clients recognize patterns and make meaningful, lasting changes while also using practical tools to support day-to-day life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help individuals identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize Person-centered to help individuals feel supportive and safe in a non-judgmental environment

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution Focused as a brief goal-oriented tool that helps individuals shift from the problem to a solution, enhancing the individual problem solving skills.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my sessions, I often use DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). That means we focus on building practical skills you can use every day—like learning how to calm your body when emotions feel overwhelming, practicing mindfulness to stay present, improving communication in relationships, and finding healthier ways to cope instead of shutting down or reacting impulsively. DBT helps you balance acceptance of where you are right now while also working toward meaningful change.
