I have always found that the macabre and fantasy worlds offer a strange sense of peace- maybe because they make our real-world struggles feel a bit more manageable. In my free time, you can find me watching horror movies or reading a fantasy novel. I am a reformed hyper-independent woman, as well as a teen who was labeled “hateful, mean and problematic" before anyone took the time to peel back those layers and discover WHY those walls were present, so I know the exhausting hustle of pretending you have it all figured out. I don’t always have my shit together, but I’ve done the work to know how to easily get back on track. I have a big personality, but I have learned to embrace my “much-ness,” and like to often remind myself with my daily mantra that “Nothing is ever that serious.” I exercise my anger at the current state of the world by walking 2.5 miles everyday with my 4 dogs and blasting my feminine rage playlist.

As a clinician, I bring curiosity, creativity, and a sense of openness to the therapy room. My interests in art, roller skating, and travel reflect how I move through the world: with curiosity, adaptability, and an appreciation for growth through new experiences. I tend to approach therapy in a similar way: collaboratively, with room for exploration, creativity, and the understanding that meaningful change often happens step by step.

I’m Dr. Ward, and I help people who are tired of pretending they’re okay when they’re not. My clients are strong, capable, and deeply overwhelmed; managing relationships that feel distant, kids who need more than they can give, and the weight of everyone else’s needs on their shoulders. I work with individuals and couples who are running on empty but still showing up every day, quietly asking, “What about me?” In therapy, we make space for you. We untangle the pressure, the silence, the self-doubt, and we start telling the truth. Not just about what’s going wrong, but about what you want, what you deserve, and how to stop shrinking to survive. My work is honest, direct, deeply compassionate, and always rooted in helping you feel like yourself again, not the version of you that’s just barely holding it together.

Are you looking for coping skills to manage anxiety? Welcome Illinois, Indiana, and New Mexico residents. I've been a licensed mental health therapist for 23 years and have had a variety of different roles in the behavioral health field. Hola! I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than a decade of experience in mental health, behavioral health, and non-profit work. I grew up in Los Angeles, completed my Master of Social Work at Fordham University in the Bronx, and now call Ocala, Florida home. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families across the lifespan, each with their own unique stories and needs. My work is guided by an integrative approach, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods to find what fits best for you. I’ve worked extensively with family systems, intergenerational trauma, parents and children facing behavioral challenges, neurodivergent individuals, women navigating life transitions, and people seeking to better understand themselves and the patterns that may be causing distress, mood difficulties, anxiety, or OCD. Some of my specialties include helping young adults transition into life after high school, supporting parents and partners as they navigate family life, and walking alongside Latina women who are balancing relationships, cultural expectations, independence, and self-care. I believe deeply that every person’s journey is unique. That’s why I focus on meeting you exactly where you are, empowering you to uncover strengths, solutions, and coping strategies that work for your life. While I am trained in CBT and DBT, I see these as tools within a broader, collaborative process. At the heart of my practice is client-centered care — because there is no single path to healing that fits everyone. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that honors your voice, builds on your resilience, and empowers you to move toward the life you want to live.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Indiana rather than a city like Indianapolis?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Indiana. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Indiana from Fort Wayne to Evansville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Indiana.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
