(she/her)
Hi and welcome to my page! My name is Jen and I am a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor). I have 11 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life's challenges. My work focuses on helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate grief, anxiety, depression and family dynamics. I believe in creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. Whether you're working through a difficult season or seeking long-term healing, I'm here to walk alongside you with compassion and practical tools.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want to make that first session as comfortable and clear as possible. In our initial meeting, we'll spend time getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you in, what challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There's no pressure to share everything at once. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you. We'll also talk through any questions you have about the therapy process, set some goals together, and start to build a working relationship based on trust and collaboration. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, supported, and a little more helpful about the path ahead.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to meet clients where they are, with warmth, patience, and practical support. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen and understood in our work together. I bring a grounded, compassionate presence that helps people feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions and strong enough to start making meaningful change.
I'm best positioned to support clients who are ready to better understand their emotions, improve their relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping. Whether you're a parent concerned about your child's behavior, a teen feeling overwhelmed by stress or self-doubt, or an adult navigating loss or big life transitions, I offer a compassionate and practical approach to therapy. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel safe, seen, and empowered to move forward.

I have been using CBT for 11 years with my clients. I begin by understanding my client's issues, including their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. I collaborate with my clients to set specific goals. I assist my client in understanding CBT principles helping them understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. I assist them with identifying and recording their negative thoughts. We work on challenging their negative thoughts and reframing them into more balanced and positive ones.
I use attachment-based techniques to assist individuals in finding attachment and helping children feel attachment after trauma.
I use Person Centered theory to assist my clients in leading the session and discussing the areas that concern them the most.
I use grief therapy to assist clients in processing their grief.
