Hello, I'm Dr. Ellinor Burke and I'm a psychologist licensed in the state of Georgia. I've been in practice for more than 20 years and I've struggled with some of the same issues many of you do. I have developed effective treatments for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder because I have dealt with this disorder myself. If you're looking for an effective treatment I have one. Many of us are worriers and have anxiety related to this. Anxiety can have a draining effect on your life but it is treatable. .I use cognitive and behavioral therapy combined with supportive therapy to help you get to that positive place in your life. If you're dealing with depression I'm also here to help by looking at how your thoughts feelings and behaviors influence each other and how we can work together to deal with these issues. I see patients with varying issues and from many age groups. All in all a diverse population.
I was a school psychologist for more than ten years and I do educational assessments as well as therapy for adolescents. I find teenagers are some of the most challenging and rewarding to work with.
My work is very emotionally rewarding which is why I've been in practice for so many years. I'm now considering expanding my practice to a hybrid practice which will include seeing clients both remotely and in my office. Therapy begins with me getting to know you and for you to feel comfortable with me. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment because therapy works when we have a positive connection which I hope we will have.
Hey yall! I am Eveny Walker, a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, however most people call me Ev. I like to refer to myself as the "healing therapist". Not because I am proclaiming to be a healer, but because I am healing just as you are! Life happens. We all need a safe space to process the craziness life throws at us and assistance with managing those unpredictable emotions. Like many of you, life has thrown me some curveballs: divorce, grief, identity crisis. And like you, I am making the daily choice to heal. The daily choice of finding joy beyond the noise of life. I would love the opportunity to stand by you in achieving your healing journey.
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Georgia. I received my Master's degree in Social Work from New York University and have been practicing since 2004. I worked in a community mental health setting for 4 years, and after that I was employed at the Atlanta VA and worked with veterans for 16 years. I help empower adults of all ages with tools they can use for a lifetime as they navigate and make meaning of their life's experiences and challenges. I consider it an honor and privilege to walk with my clients on the sacred grounds of growth and change.
Feeling overwhelmed? You don’t have to handle it on your own, we can work through it together.
This is a space where you can truly be yourself, no judgment, no pressure. You don’t have to hold everything in or have it all figured out. You can show up exactly as you are, open up at your own pace, and begin to release the stress you’ve been carrying.
If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, overthinking, or adjusting to life changes, I’m here to support you. I work with individuals who feel stuck, emotionally drained, or weighed down by daily stressors and are ready for something different. I also support individuals navigating alcohol and substance use concerns, as well as mothers who may be feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or trying to balance the many demands of motherhood.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am passionate about helping clients reach their treatment goals. Outside of behavioral health care and in my free time, I enjoy being a homebody and all of the peace that comes with it, activity nights with my family, and listening to music.
In Therapy, I operate with the belief that my clients are the experts in their life and I am the professional. We work together to maximize clients reaching their goals in therapy. I rely on the client's expertise in their life experiences as much as they rely on my professional knowledge, compassion and skill sets in therapeutic sessions. I know my clients possess an inner strength and resiliency that promotes the groundwork for therapy. My welcoming, compassionate, and relaxed counseling style creates an environment where patients feel understood and valued, and where they can be their authentic selves without fear of judgment.
I am a proud native of Decatur, GA, with a deep-rooted passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Shorter University and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. My lifelong calling has been to serve as a source of guidance, compassion, and support—helping clients work through life’s complexities, strengthen relationships, and build the skills necessary for lasting emotional well-being.
Tara Sanders is a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and has been in the mental health field for 20 + yrs. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Clark Atlanta University and earned her Master’s of Science degree from Abilene Christian University. She has a wide range of career experience that allows her to adapt to the varied needs of her clients. Her diverse experience was derived from working in an all-male maximum-security prison, her position as a school counselor to provide counseling services to children in need of temporary, situational, and/or ongoing emotional challenges, her years acting as a mobile crisis assessor, and her role as supervisor for a state-wide crisis hotline. Additionally, she worked as a Military Family Life Counselor for 10 years overseas in Europe (German and Italy) and stateside.
Tara believes that individuals who are entering counseling should feel comfortable and safe which is why she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an approach that highlights channeling negative thoughts into positive ones. She believes that stressors in one’s life can feel unmanageable, but she helps her clients to maximize their resiliency and come to view the challenge as a bump in the road --a bump that can be moved past into a successful healthier path. Her goal is for all her patients to become open to gaining new perspectives and be willing to explore family dynamics and upbringings that have developed them into the persons they are today. Tara works with her clients to assist them with changing any self-defeating thoughts and behaviors.
She truly believes that caring for yourself and your relationships are the most important task that you will ever have.

Hi,
I am Kamala, a FL and GA LMHC. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Jacksonville University in 2003 and my master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. I have worked as a mental health counselor for five years. However, I have been in the field of helping people for 18 years, starting as a case manager at a homeless shelter and later as a special education teacher. What can I can say? People are my niche.
Helping individuals get through life's difficulties is my purpose. The thing about it is, we may not be able to live 100% symptom-free, but we can live productive, fulfilling lives even with some discomfort. That may sound daunting, but I think it's realistic. Do you know why? Because even when we get through one thing, another thing is somewhere on the timeline waiting. I'm here to help you get through your "thing" now and prepare you for your "thing" later.
Hope to meet you soon.
I have past experience working as an educator in a special needs private high school for almost 15 years. It is my belief that you have everything you need within you to live your best life and be your best self, however, unhealed wounds can slow that timeline of seeing that manifest. It is my goal to guide, educate, support, and empower my clients on their way to healing.
I find great joy when my clients have that light bulb moment when they realize they in fact can be the captain of their healing/journey. I also understand that not everyone is of the mindset that they need healing and may require someone to help them build their personal road map of goals, I can also assist with that and would say I would serve in more of a coaching role for you.
Lastly, picking the right therapist can be scary, I would like to share that I find the therapeutic alliance as a collaboration of communication, honesty, and mutual respect. If you feel I am a good fit for you, I would love to walk alongside you as you explore your inner challenges and develop long-term solutions to those challenges.
With over 20 years of experience in the Social Service field, I pride myself on my dedication to the safety, wellbeing and stabilization of the children, adults, and families that I works with. My approach is rooted in psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, and existential analysis, which means I help clients explore the deeper emotional patterns and unconscious dynamics that shape their present struggles. I also guide them in confronting core existential questions—around meaning, freedom, isolation, and identity—that often underlie emotional pain.
In our work together, I offer a space that is reflective, grounded, and emotionally honest. I believe symptoms are not just problems to eliminate but signals pointing toward deeper truths—unresolved grief, unmet needs, or a disconnection from self and others. Through this process, I support clients in making sense of their experiences, reclaiming personal agency, and moving toward a more authentic and meaningful life.
