Realizing that no two people are alike, I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I offer therapy to adults, couples, and families seeking improved well-being and mental health.
For the past decade, I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage anxiety and depression by challenging negative thoughts. CBT will be used to find links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, then shift thinking patterns to produce freedom and victory over challenges. Techniques such as cognitive restructuring, journaling, and unraveling cognitive distortions, will be employed to accomplish this endeavor.
For the past decade, I have also been using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients who have difficulty managing and regulating their emotions. To help clients reach their goals and improve their quality of life the implementation of techniques such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation has been effective.
I have also been applying Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the past decade to work with clients as they process traumatic memories and reduce emotional distress. This is accomplished through guided eye movements, other forms of bilateral stimulation, journaling, and guided exercises. These techniques can significantly aid in emotional recovery and resilience.
