I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices that empower clients to better understand their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I integrate several therapeutic modalities in my work, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based approaches. Through these methods, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful or “stuck” beliefs related to past experiences, strengthen personal motivation for growth, and develop greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the present moment. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore difficult emotions and experiences. Together, we work to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate healthier perspectives that support long-term well-being. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are navigating trauma, stress, life transitions, and mood or anxiety-related concerns. Whether you are seeking to process past experiences, manage overwhelming emotions, or build new coping strategies, therapy can be a powerful step toward healing and personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a safe, supportive, and collaborative working relationship. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace while we start to understand what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. During our first session, we will talk about your current concerns, including any experiences related to depression, anxiety, trauma, or stress that may be affecting your well-being. I may ask questions about your personal history, current challenges, coping strategies, and any goals you have for therapy. This helps me better understand your needs and how we can tailor our work together to support you. You can also expect the session to include time for you to ask questions about the therapy process, my approach, and the types of techniques we may use. I often integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive processing strategies, motivational interviewing techniques, and mindfulness practices to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical coping tools. The first session is not about having all the answers or sharing everything at once. Instead, it is about beginning the process in a way that feels manageable and supportive. Together, we will start identifying areas you would like to focus on and discuss possible goals for therapy moving forward. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of how therapy with me works, what our next steps may look like, and how we can work together to support your growth, healing, and overall well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out most about my approach is the balance between compassion and structure. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and respected, while also using evidence-based methods that help translate insight into meaningful, lasting change. My work integrates cognitive processing strategies, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices. This combination allows therapy to address both the deeper beliefs shaped by past experiences and the day-to-day skills needed to manage thoughts, emotions, and stress more effectively. Clients often find this approach helpful because it not only explores the “why” behind their experiences, but also provides practical tools they can apply in their daily lives. Another aspect that stands out is the collaborative nature of the work. I view therapy as a partnership where clients are active participants in their own growth. Together, we identify patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and build new ways of responding to difficult emotions or situations. This process often helps clients develop greater clarity, confidence, and self-awareness. Clients frequently share that they appreciate having a space where they can process difficult experiences while also learning concrete strategies for moving forward. Over time, many begin to notice improvements in emotional regulation, a stronger sense of control over their thoughts and reactions, and a more balanced perspective on themselves and their experiences. My goal is not only to help clients cope with current challenges, but also to support them in building skills and insights that continue to benefit them long after therapy ends.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are ready to explore their experiences with honesty and curiosity and who are seeking meaningful, lasting change in their lives. Many of the clients I support are navigating challenges related to depression, anxiety, trauma, or PTSD and are looking for a therapist who provides both compassionate support and practical, evidence-based strategies. I am particularly well suited to work with clients who want to understand how past experiences may be shaping their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is helpful for individuals who are open to reflecting on patterns, challenging unhelpful beliefs, and learning skills that promote emotional balance and resilience. Clients who tend to benefit most from working with me are those who appreciate a collaborative therapy process. I integrate structured approaches such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices, so individuals who are comfortable engaging in reflective conversations, practicing coping strategies, and applying insights between sessions often find this work especially meaningful. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space for individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by difficult experiences. Whether you are processing trauma, managing persistent anxiety or low mood, or seeking healthier ways to cope with stress and life transitions, I aim to support you in building clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of well-being. If you are motivated to better understand yourself, develop practical tools for managing emotions, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life, you may find our work together to be a strong fit.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

My approach focuses on understanding how past experiences—especially early relationships and childhood experiences—shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others today. In my practice, I create a supportive space where clients can talk openly about their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Together, we explore patterns that may be happening beneath the surface, including unconscious beliefs, emotional responses, and relationship dynamics. By gently connecting present challenges with past experiences, clients often gain deeper insight into themselves and their patterns. This awareness can lead to meaningful change, helping people develop healthier ways of coping, relating to others, and understanding their own emotional world.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

My approach to CPT is very structured, evidence-based form of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) specifically developed to treat Post‑Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). We focuses together on exploring and changing unhelpful beliefs (“stuck points”) that develop after a traumatic experience.

Motivational Interviewing

My approach to Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a person-centered counseling and together we designed goals/intervention to help strengthen your own motivation and commitment to change. It is especially useful when someone you become ambivalent (torn) about changing a behavior.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

My approach to mindfulness based therapy is a structured therapeutic program that integrates mindfulness meditation, body awareness, and non-judgmental present-moment attention to help your cope with: Anxiety Disorders-symptoms Depression-symptoms Chronic Pain-symptoms Stress-related conditions
