Hi,
I am a Christian counselor first and foremost. Please if you are not a Christian, follower of Jesus Christ or desire to serve Christ, do not schedule a therapy session with me. I specialize in assisting individuals that use their spiritual faith as a weapon. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma and those with a history of sexual abuse. Most people at some point in their life will deal with depression. I strive to help my clients determine the root cause of their issues. We then explore ways of achieving healing and recovery through the word of God. Habakkuk 2: 2 ...Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it". Let me help you make a life plan to set your life in order according to scripture.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and have trained as a professional life coach. I have been working in this field since 2009 and had been a special education teacher for 13 years and am currently working as a school social worker in high school in Tampa, Florida for the last 8 years. I have a lot of experience with working with children and adults when wanting to address challenging behaviors and building on individuals' strengths. I also have worked with couples for years, helping partners learn active listening and build on their communication skills to learn how to validate others' feelings and thoughts.
I can’t think of anything more rewarding than helping people heal and get better. I graduated from the New School for Social Research and have practiced with all types of client problems. I welcome each new interaction as a chance to help someone discover who they were really meant to be and how to have a life worth living. I am well-versed in problems of anxiety, depression, and sources of trauma and its relief. I look forward to working with you!
Are you struggling to find a sense of purpose in your life? Unsure of whether you are headed in a direction that will leave you feeling satisfied and fulfilled? Do you wonder if life should feel somehow better? Happier? Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious and overwhelmed due to challenges that prior generations did not face. We’re expected to manage our relationships and careers flawlessly in a world that is rapidly changing without anyone who quite understands how to guide us. If you can relate - you’re in the right place.
When you begin therapy with me, you’ll feel like you’re talking to a close friend with a wealth of clinical knowledge. Open, friendly, warm, caring - these are just a few of the ways my friends, family members, and clients describe my personality. In sessions with me, you’ll feel free of judgment as we discuss some of the struggles that brought you here.
Most importantly, I’ll help you understand some of your own tendencies so that we can identify thought patterns and behaviors that you’d like to change. During this process, you'll feel encouraged and supported, and will feel motivated in new ways.
Do you find yourself constantly worrying or overthinking every possible outcome? Do you feel like you must prepare for the worst just to feel in control? Maybe you struggle with uncertainty, fear making the wrong decision, or feel like everything has to be done perfectly. Anxiety can leave you feeling restless, exhausted, and stuck in patterns that affect your sleep, your relationships, and your peace of mind. Life transitions often bring us into what can feel like “stormy waters.” As Viktor Frankl wrote, “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
I specialize in helping those suffering from anxiety, including health care professionals and veterans. You don't have to continue suffering. As a seasoned therapist, I can help you feel empowered to stop the cycle of worry and anxiety, find your sense of purpose, and reclaim your life.
The good news is that we've all gone through seasons of our lives when we feel this way. The first step is to reach out to someone for help. My approach is straightforward: together we will identify your goals, establish a problem-solving treatment plan, and go from there. If something is telling you it's time to begin your journey; give me a call.

Throughout my career, I have provided counseling and support to veterans, individuals struggling with substance use, adolescents and adults facing difficult life circumstances, and people navigating mental health concerns in a variety of settings.
My professional experience includes working in hospitals as a medical social worker, outpatient mental health clinics serving low-income and at-risk youth and adults, substance abuse treatment programs, and correctional settings providing services to incarcerated individuals. Seeking help takes courage, and I am honored to be a part of that journey. I look forward to working with you and helping you create meaningful and lasting change in your life.
I have always been empathetic towards others and have a passion for providing a helping hand to those in need. I understand that unfortunate situations in life can sometimes be unexpected. The hardships that we experience can make it difficult to cope, without the proper support.
I am able to relate to the community I serve and understand that we all have difficulties that may require the support of others. I believe that my life experiences have given me the compassion and dedication needed to make a difference in the lives of many.
I am a licensed therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions, including divorce, separation, and shifts in identity or direction. I also support first responders who are managing chronic stress, burnout, and the emotional demands of high-intensity work, as well as individuals who are struggling with the transition into adulthood after high school and finding their footing in independence, relationships, and purpose.
My style is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in helping you make sense of what you’re going through without judgment. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, even if they’re doing their best to keep things together on the outside. I integrate insight-oriented therapy with practical, evidence-based tools to help you build emotional awareness, improve coping skills, and make meaningful, sustainable change. You don’t need to have everything figured out to start—our work begins with where you are right now.

My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment to medical conditions and other health issues, college aged students, stress management, adjustment issues related to transitions in life, and aging and geriatric issues.
I am honored to join patients where they are at on their journey. I focus on setting positive goals which can often help define the problem. I know the courage it takes to come to therapy, so I work to establish comfort by being in a receptive state myself.
Then, of course, the therapeutic work will follow. I utilize a warm, relaxed style with fierce reflection or gentle support as needed. I believe that everyone benefits from a therapeutic experience to attain the best version of themselves.
Some of the modalities that I frequently utilize are: Solution-
Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-education, Systems Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy, Behavioral Modification, Skills training and Motivational interviewing/coaching.
