New to Grow
Hello, I'm Candace Bailey, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Alabama, and the founder of Reframe Counseling & Wellness. I provide compassionate, evidence-based telehealth counseling for adolescents and adults, specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQ+ affirming care, life transitions, military-related concerns, and women's mental health. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can build resilience, gain practical coping skills, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to counseling. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and the goals you'd like to achieve through therapy. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, learn about my approach, and decide whether we're a good fit. Together, we'll begin developing a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, and you'll leave with a clearer understanding of the next steps in your counseling journey.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative, compassionate, and practical experience. My approach combines evidence-based treatments—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and person-centered therapy—with genuine empathy and a focus on each client's unique strengths. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Whether you're healing from trauma, navigating anxiety or depression, working through relationship challenges, or exploring your identity, I tailor treatment to your individual goals and provide practical tools you can use between sessions to support lasting growth.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to make meaningful changes in their life, even if they aren't sure where to begin. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, or the lasting effects of family conflict or rejection. I also enjoy working with LGBTQ+ individuals, military members, veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, and anyone seeking a supportive, affirming space to heal and grow. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to better understand yourself, my goal is to help you build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and create a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.
Other specialties
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and person-centered counseling to provide a personalized treatment approach. I help clients identify what truly matters to them, develop healthier relationships with difficult thoughts and emotions, and take practical steps toward the life they want to create. My goal is to empower clients to build resilience, increase self-compassion, and make choices guided by their values rather than fear or avoidance.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts influence their emotions and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that keep them feeling stuck, develop healthier ways of thinking, and practice practical strategies that can be applied in everyday life. I believe therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping clients gain the tools and confidence to create meaningful, lasting change. CBT is often integrated with EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered counseling to meet each client's unique needs.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients heal from painful experiences that continue to impact their lives. Rather than simply talking about difficult memories, EMDR helps the brain naturally process and integrate them so they become less overwhelming. My role is to provide a safe, supportive environment while guiding clients through the healing process at a pace that feels comfortable. I often integrate EMDR with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered counseling to provide individualized care that promotes lasting healing and resilience.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate DBT skills to help clients better understand and manage their emotions while developing healthier ways to respond to life's challenges. My approach emphasizes balancing acceptance with change—helping clients learn to tolerate distress, regulate overwhelming emotions, communicate more effectively, and strengthen relationships. I often integrate DBT with CBT, ACT, EMDR, and person-centered therapy to create an individualized treatment plan that supports each client's goals and long-term well-being.
Gender-affirming therapy
Gender-affirming therapy provides a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental space for individuals exploring or affirming their gender identity. In my practice, I help clients navigate questions about identity, gender expression, social and medical transitions, relationships, family dynamics, and the impact of discrimination or minority stress. My approach is client-centered and evidence-based, honoring each person's unique journey while supporting emotional well-being, self-acceptance, and resilience. Whether someone is questioning their gender, considering transition-related decisions, or seeking support for unrelated mental health concerns, I strive to create a safe environment where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to live authentically.
