About me

Hello! I’m Kendra, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adults navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and ease. I specialize in working with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out—those who are tired of pretending to be "fine" when they are actually exhausted from trying to hold everything together. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University, and I have over six years of experience supporting diverse individuals across Florida. Reaching out is a significant step and a true act of strength. If you are ready to invest in your mental health and find your way back to balance, I would be honored to partner with you. Please reach out today to schedule an initial consultation—you do not have to navigate this journey alone. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, struggling with career burnout, or stuck in a loop of overthinking and self-doubt, I am here to help you slow down, process your experiences, and regain your footing. You do not have to have everything figured out to deserve support; you simply need a safe space to take off the pressure.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, which is why our initial session is designed to be comfortable, conversational, and low-pressure. It is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and ensure we are a good fit. I will explain how the therapy process works so you know exactly what to expect, and we can discuss any questions or goals you may have. My primary objective is to support you in the way that feels most helpful to you, so you can leave our very first session feeling heard, validated, and hopeful.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. This means we work entirely at your pace, free of pressure or judgment. I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you sort through the noise, reconnect with your values, and develop practical strategies that fit your unique lifestyle. In our sessions, you are welcome to bring your authentic self—messy feelings and all. I bring clinical curiosity, deep empathy, and evidence-based tools to help you feel more grounded, manage anxiety, and reclaim your sense of peace.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an adult who is feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or deeply burnt out, and is realizing that simply trying to push through and pretend everything is "fine" is no longer working. You might be navigating a major life transition, struggling to balance professional and personal demands, or constantly fighting a loop of overthinking, perfectionism, and self-doubt. You don't need to have your goals fully defined or your life figured out to begin. If you are ready to slow down, explore what is holding you back, and collaborate on practical strategies to reclaim your peace and confidence, we will be an excellent fit. I welcome individuals who are ready to bring their authentic, unfiltered selves to therapy and are looking for a supportive, non-judgmental partner to help them navigate the way forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT as a practical, collaborative way to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, explore where those patterns come from, and work on ways to respond differently. I don’t believe therapy should feel like a homework assignment, so we’ll choose strategies that make sense for you and your real life. My goal is to help you build insight, challenge unhelpful thinking, develop effective coping skills, and feel more confident navigating challenges both in and outside of therapy.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use Person-Centered Therapy to create a space where you can show up as yourself without judgment, pressure, or expectations about where you “should” be. I believe you are the expert on your own life, so rather than telling you what to do, I’ll meet you with curiosity, honesty, empathy, and support as we explore what matters most to you. You set the pace, and we’ll work together to better understand your experiences, recognize your strengths, reconnect with your values, and build greater trust in yourself. Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or clinical. Sometimes meaningful change begins simply by having a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy to help you recognize what’s already working, identify your strengths, and find practical ways to move toward the changes you want to make. Rather than focusing only on what’s going wrong, we’ll also look at times you’ve handled difficult situations successfully, what helped, and how we can build on those strengths. Together, we’ll set realistic goals and break them into manageable steps that fit your life. Sometimes progress doesn’t require having everything figured out. It starts with recognizing what you already bring to the table and finding the next step forward.
