New to Grow
Hi! My name is Patrice. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 36 years of experience in the mental health field. I help adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, burnout, and major life transitions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed on the inside but continue to function on the outside. They often feel stuck in their thoughts, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to move forward. I help bring clarity to what’s happening and support you in creating meaningful, realistic change. My approach is practical, supportive, and tailored to you. Every person is different, so I create an individualized plan based on your goals, challenges, and strengths. I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you feel more grounded, in control, and emotionally balanced.
Our first session is about understanding what’s going on in your life and what you want to change. I’ll invite you to share at your own pace, ask questions, and get comfortable with the process. We’ll begin identifying your main concerns and goals, and you’ll leave with a clearer sense of direction and what working together will look like.
My greatest strength is helping clients move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to having a clear sense of direction and next steps. I’m able to quickly identify underlying patterns that are driving distress and help you make sense of what’s happening in a way that feels manageable and grounded. I focus on helping you apply what we discuss in real time so sessions lead to noticeable shifts in how you think, respond, and cope in daily life. Clients often tell me they feel more organized in their thinking, less emotionally reactive, and more capable of handling challenges after working with me.
I work best with adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or overthinking and are starting to notice it affecting their mood, relationships, work, or overall quality of life. Many of my clients are high-functioning and responsible, but internally feel stuck, exhausted, or mentally “on” all the time. I also work well with individuals going through major life transitions — such as relationship changes, career stress, burnout, grief, or identity shifts — who want support making sense of what they’re experiencing and figuring out what comes next. Clients often come to me when they’ve tried to manage things on their own but realize they need a structured, supportive space to get unstuck and make lasting change. I provide practical tools, clarity, and direction so clients can feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their lives. I’m a good fit for clients who are ready to actively engage in the process and want more than just support — they want real strategies that improve how they think, feel, and respond in daily life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help you understand how your thoughts impact your emotions and behaviors. We identify patterns that keep you stuck in anxiety, stress, or low mood, and work on shifting them so you can respond to life in a calmer, more balanced way.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help you stop getting pulled around by difficult thoughts and feelings. Instead of trying to eliminate discomfort, you learn how to respond to it differently and focus on actions that move you toward the life you want.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use this approach to help you identify what is already working and build from there. We focus on practical steps and realistic goals so you can start seeing progress sooner and feel more empowered in your life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I teach mindfulness tools that help you slow racing thoughts, reduce emotional overwhelm, and stay more present. These skills help you feel calmer, clearer, and more in control when stress shows up.
