If you are bogged down with stress and going through significant life changes, I can help you with coping. If you worry too much and feel stuck in your anxiety, there is hope and I can help you with managing it. I can help you get to a place where you have the energy and clarity to accomplish your goals and dreams. I am committed to providing effective therapy so that you can make better decisions, improve relationships, and experience joy and wellness in every aspect of your life. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment that serves as a foundation for inner healing. The active listening, empathy and feedback that are part of the therapy process will help you navigate the transitions of life and set you on a path to optimal wellness.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During the first session, I ask a variety of background questions related to current stressors, health concerns, and precipitating events that are bringing you to therapy. We end the session by collaboratively setting goals that will be worked on in future sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My focus on creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. My style is warm, compassionate, and practical, balancing emotional support with evidence-based strategies that help clients create real, lasting change. I often integrate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work to identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build skills for managing anxiety, depression, trauma responses, and relationship challenges.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to work with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, past trauma, or relationship challenges and are ready for support in creating meaningful change. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles of worry, negative self-talk, emotional pain, or patterns in relationships that leave them feeling misunderstood or disconnected. They may be navigating life transitions, healing from difficult experiences, or simply wanting to feel more confident, balanced, and at peace. My ideal clients are open to exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. They may want to develop healthier coping strategies, process painful memories, improve communication, set boundaries, or strengthen their sense of self-worth. Whether someone is new to therapy or returning with deeper goals for growth, I enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves and motivated to build healthier patterns in their lives and relationships. Together, we focus on helping clients better understand themselves, develop practical tools for managing distress, and move toward greater emotional resilience, connection, and well-being. With 13 years of experience working in public education, I am well aware of the struggles educators face every day. I understand the compassion fatigue and burnout that exists among this group of professionals. If you are an educator needing help, please reach out to me!
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand and change the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The core idea is that unhelpful thinking patterns can influence how people feel and act, and by changing those patterns, clients can improve emotional well-being and functioning.
