Hello! I’m so happy to share a little about myself. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Florida, and I care deeply about helping parents, birthing people, and families during important times in their lives. For the past 18 years, I have worked with people who are pregnant, have just had a baby, or are learning to be parents. I also support adults who are feeling anxious, sad, or stressed, or who are going through big changes in their lives. I want everyone I work with to feel seen, supported, and strong. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida, and I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. This means I have special training to help people through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting. It is such an honor to see people grow, heal, and become more confident and connected with themselves and their families.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will get to know each other and start building trust. We will begin with simple introductions so you feel comfortable. Then, we will talk about the problems and challenges you are facing right now. This open conversation helps me understand what you are going through and what you hope to achieve. With this information, I can create a plan that fits your needs and goals. As we continue to meet, we will work together to adjust the plan as needed so you can keep growing and moving forward on your path to healing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

For almost 20 years, I have worked with people to help them feel better and stronger in their lives. During this time, I have learned how to create a safe and welcoming space where no one feels judged. I know how important it is for people to feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings, knowing they will be met with kindness and understanding. By paying close attention and always learning, I have found ways to build trust with the people I work with. This trust helps them feel safe enough to open up and grow. Creating this kind of caring and supportive space has helped many people make big changes and feel more confident in themselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love helping people and families feel better and stronger in their lives. I feel honored to support parents and birthing people during pregnancy, after birth, and in early parenting as they face big changes and new roles. My ideal clients are people who want to feel more calm and confident but feel stuck because of anxiety, sadness, or stress. Many are also trying to figure out who they are and how to balance everything in their lives and families. They want to make positive changes but don’t always know how to start. In our work together, I help them learn new skills, build confidence, and take care of their minds and bodies. Seeing my clients grow, feel better about themselves, and connect more deeply with their families brings me so much joy and keeps me passionate about this work.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

In my practice, I have extensive experience incorporating the strength-based treatment method to empower clients and promote personal growth. Instead of solely concentrating on weaknesses or challenges, I strive to identify and amplify the inherent strengths and assets that clients possess. This involves collaboratively exploring their skills, talents, resilience, and positive qualities. By doing so, my clients often gain a renewed sense of self-worth and confidence, which can be instrumental in overcoming obstacles and achieving their goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based techniques are integral as part of a holistic approach to support clients in managing stress, improving mental health, and cultivating a more balanced and mindful way of living. By incorporating mindfulness-based treatment, I aim to empower clients with tools for self-regulation, increased self-awareness, and a more intentional and fulfilling way of living. This approach is particularly effective for individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and stress-related issues and those seeking to enhance their overall mental health and resilience.

Trauma Informed Care

I prioritize Trauma-Informed Care to ensure that clients who have experienced trauma receive sensitive and effective treatment. I aim to support clients in their healing journey, acknowledging the impact of trauma while fostering resilience, empowerment, and a sense of safety in the therapeutic relationship.
