I currently work with Veterans, some active duty, reserves, and national guard, primarily in the areas of combat and/or military sexual trauma. Hello! I'm Dr. Edwards, a dedicated psychologist based in Houston, Texas. My journey into psychology began amidst the scenic views of the Texas Hill Country, where I was born and raised. My passion for understanding the human mind led me to The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology. Driven to deepen my knowledge and expertise, I pursued and earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology from The University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton. Pursuing excellence then took me to Syracuse, NY, where I braved one of the coldest years of my life to complete my pre-doctoral internship at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. However, the heart of Texas and the opportunity for a post-doctoral fellowship at The Menninger Clinic, an esteemed affiliate of The Baylor College of Medicine, called me back to Houston, which has warmly remained my home.

I am a therapist specializing in adult mental health and addiction disorders. I have 10 years of experience providing individual, group, and couples therapy. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient environments. At Grow I offer individual, family, and couples counseling and Board of Nursing evaluations. Individual counseling is billed through insurance or self-pay at $100 per hour. Couples counseling is self-pay at $150 per hour. Board of Nursing evaluations are billed out-of-pocket due to the extensive paperwork/correspondence involved. However, follow-up visits can be billed through insurance if I am in-network with your insurance company. There is a no-show fee of $100. There is a late cancellation (less than 24 hours) fee of $100.
