Are you feeling insecure, anxious, have a pattern of overthinking, or simply stressed, and unmotivated. I'm here to assist you in gaining clarity over your life I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue to meet your unique and specific needs by identifying your therapy goals and working towards healthy, productive, life -affirming solutions. My counseling style is client -focused and somewhat laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I utilize motivational interviewing, mended with empathy, compassion, and gentle guidance, to assist you in a solution-based approach, I am here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgement. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach that focuses on helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that they can begin to make targeted change. I work to help clients understand their physical response to external stressors, and begin to problem-solve ways to introduce moments of calm, to choose to respond rather than react in the face of change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I focus on ensuring that clients see real progress: my style is interactive, non-judgmental, and positions clients as the experts on where they are now, and where they want to go. I am sensitive to the influence of past trauma experiences on present challenges, and works closely with clients to reframe the narrative of their life in a way that increases self-confidence and compassion.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults of varied background who are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their careers.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past five years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Strength-Based

Strength-Based Therapy I have been using Strength -based therapy for over five years in my practice because it is a positive and empowering approach to counseling. It has helped many of my clients to focus on their internal strengths and resources, rather than their weaknesses or problems. Instead of viewing a client through the lens of what’s "wrong," we will emphasize what is right- by focusing on your skills, resilience, values, and past successes.
