LMHC, 7 years of experience
Hi, I’m a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) out of Tampa, Florida. I received two bachelors at the University of South Florida in Psychology and Criminology in 2012. I earned my masters in clinical mental health counseling from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2016. I help people struggling with various mental health symptoms to cope and create meaningful lives.
In our first session, we will go over brief introductions and expectations then dive into the challenges you’re facing. We will create an action plan for us to work through together in our sessions.
I have worked with women, families in children from middle school age and up. I have worked in home, in schools, outpatient and residential setting. I have provided mental health counseling, substance counseling and parenting classes to families with DCF involvement, department of corrections and various other community partners. I am trained in sandtray, Gottman Method Level 2 and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
I love working with people who have struggled with mental health who need tools to work through challenges.
I use CBT to help clients challenge their irrational belief systems that may be causing stress.
I use motivational interviewing to help clients become ready to make changes.
