New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Addiction and Recovery, Dual Diagnosis, Relationship and Family Strain, Self-Esteem, and Religious Trauma. I am highly skilled at building rapport in an authentic and supportive fashion, which allows us to explore the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns influencing one's past, present, and future. I have nearly a decade of experience treating individuals, families, and groups. I love what I do, and so do my clients!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our initial sessions, I focus on building rapport and creating a sense of safety. I use a unique combination of modalities and methodologies tailored to the specific needs and personalities of each of my clients.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am highly skilled at building a strong sense of connection with each client as we collaboratively move toward a place of vulnerability, honesty, self-awareness, gratitude, and healing.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with a wide range of clients and varying presenting problems.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, emotional triggers, and behaviors that keep them feeling stuck. Together we challenge negative self-talk, test new perspectives, and practice concrete coping skills between sessions. My goal is to give clients practical tools they can use in daily life to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and feel more in control.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients clarify their goals and strengthen their own internal motivation for change. Rather than pushing or directing, I guide collaborative conversations that explore ambivalence and build confidence. This approach helps clients make changes that feel authentic and sustainable, not forced.
Psychoeducation
I provide psychoeducation to help clients better understand how their brain, emotions, and behaviors work. Learning about things like anxiety cycles, ADHD, trauma responses, or relationship patterns often reduces shame and increases self-compassion. I believe that understanding the “why” behind symptoms empowers clients to make meaningful changes.
Psychodynamic
My psychodynamic work focuses on understanding how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns shape present-day challenges. We explore recurring themes, attachment styles, and emotional patterns to gain deeper insight and lasting change. This approach helps clients not just manage symptoms, but understand themselves more fully.
Faith based therapy
For clients who value spirituality or faith, I integrate those beliefs into the therapy process in a way that feels supportive and meaningful. We may draw on prayer, values exploration, or spiritual reflection alongside evidence-based clinical tools. My goal is to help clients align their mental health work with their faith and personal beliefs.
