New to Grow
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Professional, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, grief, behavioral issues, and life transitions. I take a compassionate, supportive, trauma informed approach. I aim to provide clients with a safe space that they feel heard, respected, and equipped to develop healthier coping skills, emotional strength, and life changes.
The first session is a supportive conversation where we discuss your concerns, goals, strengths, and what brings you to therapy. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported while beginning to build a plan for growth and healing.
My greatest strengths are building trust, creating emotional safety, and helping clients feel heard and supported. I use trauma-informed, strengths-based, and CBT approaches to help clients develop insight, coping skills, and meaningful change.
Populations I Work Best With Traumatized children, adolescents, and adults. People struggling with anxiety or depression. Those coping with grief or loss. Clients who are dealing with behavioral issues. Clients with substance abuse concerns. Clients who are going through life transitions. Clients who want a nonjudgmental space to process their emotions. Clients who desire healthier coping mechanisms. Clients who want to better understand themselves.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have worked with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and adjustment problems utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I implement CBT with my clients to help them recognize negative thoughts, regulate their emotions, and learn healthier coping mechanisms. Additionally, I use CBT to assist my clients with making positive changes in their behaviors, gaining insight, and learning skills to use outside of sessions.
Strength-Based
I utilize a strengths-based approach as I find clients feel heard not only about their problems/symptoms but also about their resilience, skills, and what they have already been doing to cope. I find it empowering and confidence-building, which can help with long-term growth and motivation. I believe clients feel more invested in their treatment when they feel as though you see them for their strengths and what they have to offer rather than solely their struggles.
