New to Grow
Hello, I'm Kristen Price, an LCSW with experience helping individuals navigate life's most challenging transitions. My background in medical social work has given me extensive experience supporting people coping with chronic illness, caregiver stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I utilize evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients gain insight, identify practical solutions, and move toward their goals. It is my belief that therapy should be a supportive space where clients feel heard and understood in addition to being challenged to grow.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating and my goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your story at. During the initial session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are facing, and what you hope to accomplish through our work together. I will ask questions about your personal history, relationships, medical history, strengths, and any significant life experiences that may be impacting your wellbeing. This helps me gain a better understanding of your situation and identify the most effective approach to support your goals.
My professional and personal experiences have given me a deep appreciation for how both expected and unexpected challenges can shape us. Like many clients, I have experienced significant loss, gone through life transitions, and seasons in life that required resilience, adaption, and personal growth. These experiences have strengthened my belief that healing is not about avoiding hardship, but learning how to move through it with support, self compassion, grace, and purpose.
My ideal clients are adults navigating significant life transitions, chronic health conditions, caregiver stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment-related challenges. Many come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward after significant change. I am well suited for to work with individuals who are ready to gain insight, identify barriers to change, and take meaningful steps towards their goals.
