Hi there! I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor based in central Florida. I received Masters degrees from the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky and have over ten years experience working in Mental Health with a background in inpatient Mental Health and addictions and five years practicing therapy. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults and believe in empowering clients as we work together to discover ways to work through some of life’s challenges to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is an opportunity to introduce ourselves and discuss the specific challenges you’re facing so we can create a plan to work through in our subsequent sessions as we work toward meeting your goal(s).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a Mental Health Provider, I believe some of my greatest strengths I can offer a client is the ability to listen and feel heard by providing a safe, non-judgmental space while we work together to meet your goal(s).

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with an array of clients who may be experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, or some of life’s stressors who are open to exploring and identifying patterns that may be causing that “stuck” feeling. Chances are if you are here, you are motivated for change and and I would be honored to work together as we work together those challenges.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use treatment modalities such as Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients identify their strengths and resources to develop and meet their goals and find solutions to troubling situations.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

As a counselor, I use Person-Centered therapy to help cultivate a space for clients that is non-judgmental and supportive. I believe in this approach because Person-Centered therapy is based on the idea that each person has the capacity and tools to garner self healing and growth. My role as a therapist is to walk beside the client and offer empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence as a means to help the client discover a sense of their true selves and empower self-worth and autonomy.
