New to Grow
Hi! I’m Kara Ray. I earned my MSW from the University of Georgia and work with children, teens, and adults. I believe everyone deserves a safe space where they can speak openly and feel truly heard. My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and rooted in strengths. I see therapy as a chance to explore different parts of yourself with support and curiosity. Together, we can uncover what’s working, build new skills, and help you find more balance in your life and relationships.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is a chance for you to share what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to change or understand. I’ll ask questions to help me learn about your story, but we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to help you settle in, feel supported, and start building a connection that feels safe and genuine.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I show up with empathy, kindness, and a genuine desire to understand your experiences. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself and knowing that your thoughts and feelings matter. I’m here to listen, support, and help you move toward the goals that feel most important to you.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m here for clients who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in cycles of worry and overthinking. You may find yourself replaying conversations or imagining worst-case scenarios, and it’s beginning to affect your daily life. I provide a grounded, compassionate space where you can understand these patterns and learn new ways to cope, connect, and move forward with more confidence.
