New to Grow
Hi and congratulations on making it this far in your journey! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides compassionate counseling for caregivers and individuals navigating grief, loss, life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm. Many of the clients I support are carrying responsibility for others while also trying to make space for their own needs, healing, and well-being. Caregiving, grief, and major life changes can bring exhaustion, uncertainty, sadness, guilt, and a sense of feeling stretched too thin.
My approach is client-specific, collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and cared for while beginning to process what you are carrying and move toward greater balance, clarity, and emotional relief.
I have been a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 14 years. I have practiced in a variety of locations; urban, suburban and rural with a diverse population. As well as a variety of work place experiences that include schools, shelters and, hospitals. I draw from this knowledgeable to create a space for the patient centered care. In addition to empowerment, consistency and non judgmental listening.
Many of the clients I support are carrying responsibility for others while also trying to make space for their own needs, healing, and well-being. Caregiving, grief, and major life changes can bring exhaustion, uncertainty, sadness, guilt, and a sense of feeling stretched too thin. I also work with patients who are experiencing life transitions; divorce, loss, "sandwich generation" and "empty nest".
I combine mindfulness and behavioral change strategies. I encourage one to recognize one's responses, one's experiences to triggers and introduce ways to accept them and the commitment to one's core values.
I introduce the following Core Principles: Cognitive model, Thought Identification, Cognitive restructuring, Behavioral techniques and Goal oriented and time limited approaches. My goal is to challenge the unhelpful thoughts; all or nothing thinking, catastrophizing, etc
I work with the client to identify and build a client's existing strengths, resources and resilience. Develop a strengths assessment and collaborative goal setting with patient. I use and guide reframing and resource activation/community supports.
