I believe everyone has the tools inside them to achieve their goals; it is just about unlocking them and utilizing them. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Florida with over 25 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients facing a wide range of challenges, and I understand that each person’s journey is unique. I work with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, addiction, grief and loss, trauma, relationships, communication, and life transitions.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Hypnotherapist, but more than that, I work with people who feel stuck in patterns they understand but still can’t seem to break. Maybe it shows up in relationships that feel familiar but painful, putting others first so you don’t lose them, or slipping back into old habits when emotions become overwhelming. You’re not broken. You are repeating a pattern that once kept you safe but now keeps you stuck.
I help clients who look strong and “put together” on the outside, but internally feel disconnected, unseen, or like they’re always fighting themselves. You might know why you do what you do because you’ve read the books, tried therapy before, told yourself you’d choose differently, and yet something still pulls you back.
My approach is real, honest, and compassionate. We won’t just talk about the surface problem. We’ll work with the deeper beliefs and emotional wiring underneath it. Together, we identify what keeps you abandoning yourself, and begin rebuilding from a place of self-trust, worthiness, and grounded clarity.

As a marriage and family therapist, I'm committed to helping individuals, couples, and families learn how to increase confidence, improve communication, and deepen intimacy in their most significant relationships. I have a B.S. in Psychology and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy with over seven years of experience working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, orientations, and cultures.
I believe that life is about relationships first and everything else is just details, so whether I'm working with you as an individual or part of a couple or family, my hope is to help you create healthy and fulfilling relationships with yourself and with others.
My name is John A. Llauget. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling from University of South Florida. My career in mental health in 1977 working in a psychiatric hospital; and later as a outpatient therapist in a community mental health center working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I was licensed in Florida in 1986 as a Mental Health Counselor and have maintained my license since that date. Also I have worked as an employee assistance counselor, school counselor, associate professor at an international university, and court evaluator for guardianship cases. For 20 years I worked as a cancer counselor with oncology clients helping them cope with illness, stress, and emotional distress.
Additionally I have maintained a practice and interest in Traditional Okinawan Uechi-Ryu, earning a Masters rank in that system of training. I have used martial training with children & adolescents to develop self-control and self esteem. Later when I began working with an elderly population and clients dealing with physical limitations, I taught Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation as a way to improve their health, well-being, and cope with stress. My therapeutic style centers around getting to know a client, develop trust, and talking more explicitly about issues before making any recommendations. I am a strong advocate of evidence-based treatments and teaching ‘tools’ to cope with stress and emotional difficulties. I have gained training in trauma treatment because we now know that it is prevalent in our life experiences. I value compassion, persistence, and patience in working towards change. I look forward to working with you. I also value your time and want to use it productively in assisting you to reach your therapeutic goals.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience, practicing since 2011. My background spans a wide range of settings, including substance use treatment programs, mental health clinics, LGBTQ+ affirming care, and couple and sex therapy. I am deeply passionate about working with people and witnessing meaningful change. I believe every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and transformation. Using an integrative, client-centered approach, I tailor treatment to meet each person’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in the state of Florida. I earned my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University and have been working in the field for over seven years. I work with clients of all ages, from teenagers to older adults, helping them tap into their strengths, build self-esteem, and navigate the challenges they’re facing. My goal is to support you in creating a life that feels fulfilling and meaningful—a life you are truly excited to wake up to each day.
As the wife of a physician and someone who has worked closely with RNs, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, I understand firsthand how emotional exhaustion and constant pressure can take a toll. I’m especially passionate about helping healthcare providers heal from compassion fatigue. I am a laid-back therapist, so it’s not unusual for me to wear jeans or sandals at the office. I have lived experience with mental health personally.
