Hi. My name is Beth Marsh and I am a licensed mental health counselor living in Florida. I have been practicing since 2000. I have worked in community mental health, large private practices, small private practices, for a professional medicine department with a local university, fancy residential rehab, and as a case manager for a large insurance company. My clients have been diverse and run the gamut in socio-economic status. I enjoy working with most people. My favorite clients are the ones who are ready for a change in their life…no matter how big or small. I enjoy couples counseling with traditional and non traditional couples. I have had a lot of success with clients with anxiety and depression. Sometimes life throws a lot our way and you need a safe place to think, regroup and make a new plan. I can help with that! I am seminary educated and am a Christian, but you do not have to have the same belief system I do. I understand different cultures and religion and love diversity. In the end, we are all humans trying to do the best we can. If you are struggling with a relationship, anxiety, depression, self esteem or stage of life issues, reach out. You do not have to go it alone and there is hope. I am here.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will get to know each other and discuss expectations and goals for therapy. We will create a care plan based on what you want from your therapy sessions. I will use a person-centered approach with motivational interviewing to help discover your wants and what’s important to you and for you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize mostly a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy that is person-centered and mindful based. I do not possess any magic wands or potions but believe your answers are within you we just have to uncover them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are that I am accepting. I am told I am easy to talk to. I even use humor in therapy. I enjoy working with people and helping people find their best self and solution to problems.
