Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll start with introductions and a thorough intake assessment, covering your family, mental health, psychiatric, medical, and medication history, as well as your goals and any other important topics. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, anger, school or work issues, self-esteem, relationship and communication problems, trust issues, family discord, grief, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and substance abuse. Progress for my clients looks like using positive coping skills, solving problems, communicating effectively, building confidence, taking accountability, and functioning well in daily life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What distinguishes my therapeutic approach is my commitment to teaching evidence-based techniques that support emotional well-being and foster healthy relationships. I help clients implement thought stopping strategies, which are effective in decreasing negative thoughts, negative behaviors, anxiety, stress, anger, and depression. In addition to thought stopping, I introduce clients to the tapping solution technique, which involves tapping nine pressure points on the body, incorporating deep breathing, and using positive affirmations. This integrative method helps reduce anxiety, negative thoughts, anger, depression, and stress. I also teach grounding exercises that empower clients to manage negative and paranoid thoughts, stress, anger, panic attacks, and anxiety. My approach is holistic and adaptable, supporting adults, teenagers, families, and couples in developing healthy communication strategies. By enhancing communication skills, clients are able to improve relationships with significant others, spouses, family members, co-workers, peers, and friends. Overall, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to personalize these techniques to each client’s unique needs, fostering a supportive environment where clients can build resilience, self-awareness, and lasting positive change.

I really appreciate that she asked some really great questions. I loved how she gave me her undivided attention and joked and laugh to ease the nervousness that I was feeling as a first timer. But overall I’m super excited about my journey and can’t wait to see all that I’ve accomplished within myself.
