Hi there, I’m Britney. Are you experiencing life challenges such as family discord, low self-esteem, marital problems, substance abuse issues, anger, anxiety, and depression? If so, I am here to help provide you with direction and guidance. Do you struggle with developing structure in their life? If so, as your therapist, I will help you learn to focus on yourself. As your therapist I will help you develop positive coping skills to decrease anxiety, anger, and depression and become more aware of your triggers that lead to low self-esteem, anxiety, anger, and depression, substance abuse, and family problems. As your therapist, I will help you focus on finding solutions to your problems. As your therapist, I will help couples learn and implement communication strategies to help improve romantic relationships and marriages.
In our first session, we will do brief introductions. We will complete an intake assessment that includes the client's family history, mental health history, psychiatric history, medical history, medication history, goals, and many other topics that you feel are important for the therapist to know. The first session will set up the steps to follow up sessions.
I will help clients learn to implement new techniques such as thought stopping which allows clients to decrease negative thoughts, negative behaviors, anxiety, stress, anger, and depression. I will introduce the tapping solution technique which allows clients to tap 9 pressure points of the body, take deep breaths in between tapping the 9 pressure points of the body, while implementing positive affirmations to help decrease anxiety, negative thoughts, anger, depression, and stress. I will help clients learn to implement grounding exercises to help decrease negative thoughts, paranoid thoughts, stress, anger, panic attacks, and anxiety. I will help adults, teenagers, and couples learn to implement healthy communication strategies to help improve their relationships with significant others, spouses, family members, co-workers, strangers, peers, and friends.
I am available to counsel adults, teenagers, and couples to help educate and implement positive coping strategies to help reduce anxiety, depression, anger, stress, self-harm behaviors, self-harm thoughts, suicidal ideations, school related problems, family conflict, relationship problems, marital problems, and communication strategies which includes conflict resolution, and problem solving strategies.
I have 12 years of experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I help clients work towards identifying triggers, warning signs, and coping strategies to help reduce racing thoughts such overthinking and negative thinking. I help clients learn to change negative thoughts into realistic positive thoughts. I use techniques such as thought stopping technique, role playing, reframing, emotional freedom technique, and many others.

I really appreciate that she asked some really great questions. I loved how she gave me her undivided attention and joked and laugh to ease the nervousness that I was feeling as a first timer. But overall I’m super excited about my journey and can’t wait to see all that I’ve accomplished within myself.
