Hi, I’m Kristen — a licensed mental health therapist. I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I began my work in mental health while living overseas, where connecting with people across different cultures taught me how universal our needs for belonging, purpose, and joy truly are. I walk alongside clients navigating anxiety, addiction, trauma, and relationship challenges, helping them feel more grounded and supported. My background in education and performing arts allows me to attune to emotional expression and bring creativity into the therapeutic process, making our work together both engaging and deeply meaningful.
In our first session, I’ll ask questions to learn about your background, your strengths, and the challenges you’re facing right now. Together, we’ll start to define your goals and discuss how we can best work as a team moving forward. There is no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with — we will move at your pace. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard and confident that you have a clear direction for your healing journey.
I use a blend of CBT, trauma-informed care, and other integrative therapeutic approaches. Together, we'll look at the patterns, thoughts, and emotions that are shaping your experience. Throughout treatment, I'll help you build practical tools and strengthen the way you relate to yourself and others so you can move toward a more grounded and aligned life. I believe therapy should not only reduce symptoms — it should awaken a renewed sense of possibility.
You might be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, past experiences, relationship struggles, or challenges with substance use. Even if you feel stuck, there’s a part of you that wants clarity, growth, and a greater sense of control over your life. I work best with individuals who are open to exploring themselves more deeply and creating meaningful change, even if they’re not sure where to start. You may be looking to better understand your patterns, build healthier coping skills, and develop more fulfilling relationships. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can feel safe and seen. Using a blend of CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, I tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll build practical tools, increase self-awareness, and support you in creating a more grounded, intentional life.
Integrative
Integrative therapy allows me to combine evidence-based tools with a relational, supportive style, helping you gain insight, develop healthier patterns, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With CBT, I help you identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that contribute to stress, anxiety, and feeling stuck. Together, we build practical skills to challenge these patterns and support healthier coping, greater clarity, and more effective daily functioning.
Trauma Informed Care
My trauma-informed work emphasizes safety, empowerment, and collaboration. I help clients understand how past experiences may shape current emotions and relationships, while supporting them in building regulation skills, strengthening resilience, and moving through healing at a pace that feels right.
