Together, we’ll explore your roots, build resilience, and strengthen your relationship with the land through mindfulness, land-based rituals, and somatic practices. Whether you’re working to improve a relationship, make a difficult decision, break unhealthy patterns, or face a personal challenge, you deserve support — and change is possible. I help clients identify patterns in their struggles and successes, so they can understand themselves more fully and move forward with greater clarity and strength.
My therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, attachment theory, psychodynamic principles, and strength-based practices. Together, we’ll focus on building self-compassion while working through the areas that feel stuck or painful.
In session, I am an active and engaged therapist. I bring warmth and compassion, and I’m also direct when needed — offering honest feedback in the spirit of growth and support. Hello, my name is Lisa. I am an emerging therapist in telehealth services. I am privileged to have the opportunity to help you navigate through difficult and complex life stressors. Are you an Asian American struggling with thoughts of not being good enough, feeling like you aren’t where you 'should be,' having difficulty recognizing your accomplishments, or feeling unseen and unheard? You’re not alone. The AAPI community is facing higher rates of anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout than ever before. Cultural pressures often make it harder to seek support and navigate mental health. It can feel especially tough when it seems like the deck is stacked against you. But despite it all, you aren’t broken or weak. You are strong and valued for feeling what you’re feeling and for taking the step toward change.
With over 17 years of experience in the mental health field, I offer a grounded, relational, and thoughtful approach to therapy. I have worked across diverse clinical settings and with individuals from a wide range of cultural, social, and life backgrounds. This breadth of experience allows me to adapt my work to the unique needs, values, and goals of each client rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model.
I approach therapy as a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, respect, and emotional safety. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or unsure where to begin. My role is to create a space where you feel supported enough to explore what is happening beneath the surface, while also developing clarity and direction. Rather than focusing on “fixing” problems, I help clients build insight, emotional capacity, and practical tools that support lasting change.
My work is informed by evidence-based practices and shaped by a deep appreciation for the human and relational aspects of healing. I value authenticity, trust, and attunement in the therapeutic relationship, and I believe meaningful change occurs when clients feel genuinely understood.

Hello, I am Maria Morales, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, born and raised in San Fernando Valley. I received my Undergraduate Degree in Liberal Studies from Mount Saint Mary's University in 2010 and continued my education at the University of Southern California receiving my Master in Social Work and Public Health in 2015.
Establishing rapport is essential in psychotherapy as well as maintaining confidentiality. I often draws on my shared cultural experiences with clients, fostering an environment where openness and vulnerability are encouraged. I am mindful of the cultural nuances in communication styles that may affect trust and disclosure while we work together in therapy to understand the "why" we need therapy to change life patterns that just aren't working anymore.
Jake's main therapeutic focus is increasing awareness of environments and everyday situations, opening one’s perception of life choices, and intensifying feelings of empowerment and liberation in our work together. Jake’s CBT/Solution Focused style is interactive and fun while honoring his client’s relationships, helping them discover what is truly needed from these relationships and inspiring them to live authentically. Jake has years of practicing in county mental health agencies as an MFT Trainee & an AMFT.
Currently, Jake is an LMFT at CSU Sacramento in their health & wellness center on-campus supporting college students with their mental health, and does telehealth private practice during the evenings Monday-Thursday.
Hi, I’m Desiree, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults who appear capable on the outside but internally struggle with chronic self-doubt, overthinking, and people-pleasing. Many of my clients worry they are “too much” or not good enough, even while managing a lot in their lives.
In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns and where they come from, while building self-trust, stronger boundaries, and more confidence in your decisions. My approach is relational and person-centered, and I see people as whole humans, not diagnoses.
Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up with me quickly and that they feel genuinely heard. I believe that kind of connection is a key part of meaningful change.
Most of my experience as a psychotherapist has been in treating individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, loss, trauma, and other significant life changes (workplace stress, chronic illness, aging). Just before the pandemic I was working with people who needed support to find housing and provide for their basic needs, as well as people needing substance use treatment. As a social worker I have also worked with people experiencing trauma, chronic health conditions/disabilities, age-related circumstances and grief/loss. (Also, I have a good understanding of social services and mental health resources in the San Francisco Bay Area, especially Contra Costa County.
In my free time I enjoy baking, hiking, playing with my Boston Terrier, Bruno and watching baseball.

I’m a licensed therapist (LMFT, LPCC) who helps high-achieving adults move from overwhelmed and stuck to grounded and aligned. I bring a calm, relational presence to therapy and specialize in navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, and identity-related transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and collaborative—with space for integrating faith when it’s meaningful to the client and supportive of their growth.
Hi! I’m a licensed psychotherapist (LPCC) based in Berkeley CA and serving clients statewide via Telehealth. I have over 20 years of experience working and volunteering in community mental health, and have been practicing as a psychotherapist since January 2018. I received my MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in 2019, and my BA in Psychology from Reed College in 2010. I have been licensed since February 2023.
I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist and work relationally and holistically. I believe all facets of life are (naturally) interrelated--relational, physical/physiological, emotional, cognitive, cultural, societal/political, spiritual, existential... I incorporate orientations, frameworks and insights from across the field: attachment-based (psychodynamic), somatic (Polyvagal, Somatic Experiencing, neuroscience), humanistic, mindfulness, gestalt, self-psychology, ACT, DBT, CBT, systems, existential, holistic/spiritual perspectives and wisdom like Buddhism, narrative, human needs perspectives like self-determination theory, communication frameworks like NVC and insights from the Gottmans, and paradigms and perspectives on social justice like feminism, analysis of power and privilege, intersectionality, intergenerational and societal trauma, psychological/emotional/verbal abuse, narcissism/scapegoating/othering etc.
I am guided by a trauma-informed approach that aims to foster empowering client-centered, collaborative, transparent and intersubjective relational conditions that I believe support people’s natural ability to experience safety, connection, and authentic actualization. My work is informed by a lifetime of deep inquiry into human needs and the complex ways familial, social, cultural, economic and biological contexts inform how they may be nurtured, supported, neglected or actively or insidiously contravened. I believe that human attachments and early life experiences, as well as structural power dynamics in social/societal systems, are typically foundationally informative to the bridge or gap between trauma/suffering and thriving in safety and connection. I think humanness and understanding of / respect for these facts, alone, can be a healing provision of therapy relationship.

Hello, I’m Danielle and I’m excited to meet you! I am a licensed clinical social worker, and have been honored to provide compassionate and person-centered care to individuals for over 15 years.
I would love to talk to you and find out how we can work together to find your wisest path. With 14 years of experience, I bring a steady, grounded presence to therapy, working hard to truly understand my clients so they feel seen, heard, and safe to explore their inner world. I want my clients to know that healing is possible and that trauma does not have to define who they are or who they become. Hi, I’m Kelly Castillo, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). With 15 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate some of life’s most painful and transformative moments. Many of the people I work with come to therapy carrying the weight of childhood trauma, grief and loss, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or major life transitions. My mission is to help you reconnect with your strengths, rediscover your voice, and move toward the best version of yourself. Therapy can be a powerful pathway to insight, relief, and growth—a place where you don’t need to have everything figured out. Instead, it offers room to explore, question, heal, and gradually build the life you want with guidance and support.
I offer an honest, compassionate, and relatable approach to therapy. My goal is to create a safe, grounded environment where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered. I tailor each session to your individual needs and goals, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with integrative, client-centered approaches. This flexibility allows me to meet you where you are and support you as you move toward where you want to be.
Through my work in diverse clinical settings, I’ve learned that no two healing journeys are alike. Your story is uniquely your own—and your therapy should reflect that. I’m committed to walking alongside you, at your pace, using strategies that align with your values, strengths, and lived experience.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but together, we’ll navigate challenges, uncover your resilience, and build tools that foster clarity, confidence, and peace. I’m honored to support you in whatever comes next.

I feel very fortunate to have grown up in the Bay Area, but never truly appreciated it until I left and came back. I attended high school in Marin at the Branson School in Ross. After High School I left for Wheaton College in Massachusetts where I earned a B.A. in Psychology. I moved to Florida where I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Prior to earning my Masters in Psychology I spent a number of years working in child and adolescent residential treatment centers in both San Francisco and Orlando, Florida. It was at this time that I fell in love with working with adolescents, adults, and their families. After graduate school, I found myself working for, and soon thereafter managing, an inpatient treatment program for adolescents who had experienced severe trauma.
I returned to California for good in 2011 where I started working as the Lead Therapist for the Adolescent Outpatient Program at Fremont Hospital. I opened a part time private practice in 2012 and transitioned to a full time practice in San Francisco in early 2013.

I’m here to honor you and your life, listen with my heart, guide with my wisdom, and support you as you need. As a team, we will create a life filled with happiness, joy, love, and purpose for you. Throughout my 30 years of therapy, I have helped hundreds of clients and have learned many ways of helping you make the changes you have been hoping for.
This is my first career and something I have always been pulled to; my journey is a thorough reflection of why I work in this field. My path to becoming a licensed therapist was very intuitive-based; I went through experiences of pain, guilt, shame, loss of self, and the loss of my overall sense of life. Through my journey, I was able to understand pain and trauma, taking on a lot of spiritual remedies while turning my pain into passion, my passion into purpose, and my purpose into power as a healer. Due to my licensure journey, I not only understand the educational part of pain, trauma, and healing, but I also experienced painful and challenging moments myself, bringing me to a higher purpose for self and meaning of life! I am highly intuitive, empathic, gentle, and calm, and I am a good listener and healer. I have worked in addiction, with children who have autism and intellectual disabilities, PTSD, anxiety, depression, life coaching, spirituality, and connecting to the higher self.

You've read the books. You have endlessly analyzed your sun, moon, and rising signs. Maybe you have even tried therapy before. And yet something still feels stuck, like there is a layer underneath the thinking that no amount of insight seems to reach.
I'm Joanna, a licensed therapist in Long Beach, CA. I work with folks who are anxious, burned out, or carrying the weight of past experiences and are ready to try something that goes deeper than just talking about it. Using body-based techniques alongside conversation, I help people shift patterns they have been trying to change for years.
My approach to therapy is rooted in being person-centered, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, empathy, and respect. I strive to create a welcoming and open space where you can show up exactly as you are — without fear of criticism or shame. I meet clients where they are, honoring their pace, experiences, and readiness for change. Whether you’re navigating trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, anxiety, or other concerns, my goal is to provide steady support, practical tools, and a safe environment to help you move toward healing and growth.
