New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who shows up with authenticity, compassion, and deep respect for your story. I specialize in grief and have extensive experience working with adolescents and older adults navigating life transitions, loss, and emotional overwhelm. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, collaborative space where you are truly seen and supported — and where growth happens at your pace.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session with me will feel conversational, welcoming, and collaborative. We’ll spend time getting to know each other — not just the challenges that brought you to therapy, but who you are as a person. You won’t be interrogated or put on the spot. Instead, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’m warm, authentic, and I do use humor when appropriate. Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or clinical. My priority in our first session (and beyond) is building a strong foundation of trust and safety. I truly believe that the relationship we build is the most important part of the work. Even the most effective interventions won’t create meaningful change if you don’t feel comfortable, understood, and supported. You can expect me to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and begin exploring what you hope to gain from therapy. By the end of our first session, my goal is for you to feel a little lighter — knowing you don’t have to carry everything alone anymore.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build authentic, trusting relationships with my clients. I truly believe that meaningful change happens within a strong therapeutic connection, so I prioritize creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and respected. My background in community mental health, working with underserved communities, has shaped me into a flexible, culturally responsive, and grounded clinician. I’m comfortable sitting with complex emotions, crisis situations, and deep grief without rushing the process. In addition to my clinical work, I engage in volunteer service locally and internationally, which keeps me connected to compassion, humility, and perspective. I bring warmth, authenticity, and steadiness into the room — helping you feel supported while also encouraging growth.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
You may be the right fit for my practice if you’re struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, or the emotional impact of a major life change. You might feel stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to move forward. If you value a therapist who listens deeply, meets you where you are, and collaborates with you in the healing process, we will likely work well together. I specialize in supporting adolescents, adults and older adults through loss and transition, helping you move at your own pace while gently challenging you toward growth.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach by creating a safe, inclusive, and authentic space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. I believe healing begins when individuals feel understood at their core, so I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. I meet clients exactly where they are emotionally and psychologically, honoring their lived experiences and allowing them to guide the pace and direction of treatment.
