I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California as well as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in Nebraska. I also have a PhD in International Psychology from the Chicago School. I have 15 years of experience as a therapist, and 15 years previous to that teaching coping skills and working in group homes with adolescents that struggled emotionally. I strive to provide a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, non-judgmental space for personal exploration, emotional vulnerability, and growth. Additionally, I am committed to offering LGBTQ+-affirming care. I utilize a variety of modalities to provide an experience that is tailored to each person and their stage of life. My desire is that you find a calm, strength-based, and client-centered experience each time you meet with me.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT throughout my career due to the amount of research showing its effectiveness for many people.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

My passion for culture and how culture impacts our thoughts and beliefs led me to ensure it became a big part of my practice when I went back to school in 2020 and earned a PhD in International Psychology. This learning opportunity provided me with insights into how my culture impacts my practice as providing me insight into how to better assist those who are part of cultures other than my own grow.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

It is another well-researched modality that has been shown to assist many people. It is particularly helpful for those who struggle with intense emotions and self-destructive behaviors.

Trauma Informed Care

I have taken an extended number of trainings on trauma and the many ways it impacts our lives. I provide trauma-informed care, tailoring my approach and therapeutic modalities to best meet each client's unique needs and circumstances.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

For some clients, brief and targeted support is most effective, and I utilize a solution-focused approach to address certain goals.
