New to Grow
I am a client centered therapist, which means I believe that the client is the expert on their experiences. I ask questions, am open to feedback, and trust the client's capacity for growth and self-actualization. Additionally, I provide coping skills and evidenced based practices to help clients in these areas. I also use art therapy in my practice, which is workable in telehealth.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I honestly, do not have expectations in our first session. I want to get to know you, and hear you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe my biggest strengths are empathy, honesty, and desire to help solve issues.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who want feedback, and want to know what I am thinking. I do not think I am the expert, and appreciate a client telling me if they disagree.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to hep clients identify and change harmful thought patterns and behaviors to manage depression, anxiety, PTSD, and insomnia.
Attachment-based
I use Attachment-based therapy to help clients build healthier and more secure relationship. It helps clients understand the different emotional, behavioral, and relational issues they may be experiencing with others.
Eclectic
Additionally, I use a variety of treatment methods including existential, experiential, family systems, and mindfulness.
Grief Therapy
Grief therapy helps clients process the emotional, physical, and cognitive impact of loss.
