(she/her)
Hi there! I’m really glad you’re here and I want to thank you for taking the time to show up for yourself. In a world that tells us to keep pushing through, choosing to pause and care for yourself really matters. My name is Sarah and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’m California born and raised and currently preparing for a move to Colorado. Outside of being a therapist, I’m an animal lover, enjoy the outdoors, and feel most at peace near any body of water. I also believe in doing my own inner work and that therapy can be helpful for everyone at different points in life. I’ve been practicing therapy since 2020 and working in the helping field since 2017. I help clients break out of patterns that keep them stuck and reconnect with themselves. My approach is warm, supportive, and attuned. I often bring in self-compassion and help clients look at things from a different perspective. Together we’ll explore what’s been keeping you stuck and find ways to slow racing thoughts and feel more present. Change is possible and you deserve to feel like yourself.
Our first session is really just a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been dealing with, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I'll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, but there’s no pressure to share everything right away. We can go at your pace. You’re always welcome to ask me questions too. A big part of this first session is just seeing if it feels like a good fit for you.
I don’t take a one size fits all approach to therapy. Everyone’s experiences are different, so I try to meet you where you are and adjust the work to what actually feels helpful for you. I especially enjoy working with clients who struggle with anxiety, overthinking, or feeling stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break. One area I focus on is EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It can help you work through experiences that still feel heavy or stuck, even if they happened a long time ago. I also spend time helping clients slow things down, understand their reactions, and feel more connected to themselves.
I tend to work well with clients who feel stuck in their thoughts and have a hard time slowing their mind down. Many are self-aware and have insight into their patterns, but still feel unsure how to move forward. I also often work with people who put others first and are learning how to reconnect with themselves, build self-trust, and show up differently in their relationships.
EMDR
I’m trained in EMDR, which helps with processing trauma and difficult memories. In our sessions, I'll guide you safely through EMDR to help your brain reprocess experiences that may be holding you back. My approach is collaborative and supportive.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I’m trained in DBT, a skills-based therapy that helps people manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and cope with stress more effectively.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use insights from CBT to help clients notice unhelpful thoughts and patterns and find healthier ways to cope.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I integrate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients stay present, reduce stress, and respond to challenges with awareness rather than reaction.

Sarah was very warm and validating. She took the time to listen to me and I never felt rushed by her. I'm really excited and look forward to working with her.
