Hi, I’m Sarah Hart, LCSW. I’ve been in the helping field since 2017 and have been providing therapy since 2020. I’ve had the chance to work in many different settings, like residential programs, crisis centers, schools, and virtual therapy. My approach is compassionate and flexible, using proven methods like mindfulness, cognitive strategies, and trauma-informed care. I specialize in helping people manage anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, and mood struggles. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on, build new coping skills, and create a plan that fits you, so you can live a more fulfilling life.
In your first session with me, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we’ll take the time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions about your background, current challenges, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals and what you’re hoping to work on, so I can better understand your unique needs. I’ll also explain my approach and how we can work together to support your healing and growth. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we start your journey.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my compassionate, client-centered approach and ability to create a safe, supportive space for healing. I’m skilled at tailoring therapy to each person’s needs, using evidence-based techniques to help build resilience and develop healthier coping skills. My experience in high-acuity settings allows me to support clients through challenging emotions and life events, empowering them to heal and grow at their own pace.
I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, and stress. With experience in high-acuity settings like crisis centers and residential treatment, I’m skilled at supporting those dealing with trauma and major life transitions. Whether you’re adjusting to change, facing new challenges, or simply navigating life's ups and downs, I offer guidance and compassionate support. My warm, supportive approach focuses on helping you build resilience, develop coping skills, and heal at your own pace in a safe space.
In my therapy practice, I use a mix of different techniques to find what works best for you, all through virtual therapy. My goal is to help you work through challenges like anxiety, trauma, life changes, and more. I’ve worked with people of all ages, from 5 to 80, and have experience in a variety of settings, including crisis centers and home-based services. I use proven methods like trauma-focused therapy, mindfulness, and other strategies to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings and start healing.
ACT helps you accept difficult thoughts and feelings while focusing on actions that align with your values. We’ll work together to build mindfulness and flexibility, helping you move toward a more fulfilling life by committing to meaningful actions, even in the face of challenges.
CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. We’ll identify and change negative thought patterns, helping you manage stress, improve your mood, and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping.
Mindfulness-based therapy teaches you to stay present in the moment without judgment. We’ll practice mindfulness techniques like breathing exercises and meditation to help you manage emotions, reduce stress, and increase emotional regulation for a calmer, more centered life.
Trauma-informed care focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment for healing. We’ll work at your pace to process past trauma with empathy and respect, using mindfulness and other techniques to help you build resilience and regain control over your life.
