Hello, I am Aviva Euripides and I am pleased to meet you here. Our clinical work involves tracking and assessing how it assists you in meeting your goals. This solution focused work is thus overall practical but is rooted in academic and clinical rigor. I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and attended New College of California where the focus was on meeting the clinical needs of a diverse community with relevance and meaning. I have supervised and trained clinicians in treatment settings ranging from the counselor's office to acute mental health facilities. This has led to a deep understanding of clinical work. My specializations include depression, anxiety, life changes, self esteem, career and relationships. Please schedule appointments on the hour.
I am a solution focused therapist so my work is based on how it assists you in identifying and moving you toward your goals. In relationships, sometimes it becomes challenging to navigate where we are at as a person and in our relationships. The work can begin grounded in concrete tasks, exercises and assignments. This translates with practice into greater depth, option and flexibility as each partner gains self awareness and an increased understanding of the impact on the other.
I am a graduate of New College of California, one of the first clinical training programs in the country to hold gender and sexual orientation as central to our mission. Services must be offered in a relevant and meaningful way and the onus of this is on the clinician. I am all too aware of the increased mental health concerns presented in the GLBT community as a result of factors external to the person in treatment. I am also well aware of the healing effects of treating people with respect , and with welcoming uniqueness in expression and experience. Many years ago I supervised a clinician as he was transitioning and it was a true learning experience to work with his own decisions around what he shared with his clients and his own process personally and clinically.
I have worked and supervised clinicians at all levels of care from outpatient to inpatient.

She’s letting me see things that I couldn’t while I’m going through this hard time on my life.

She seemed good until she revealed she does not provide the family therapy I am seeking yet went in to inquire of my mom about our relationship even though I initiated therapy and was given no opportunity to speak about the relationship with my mom that brought me to therapy. Felt hypocritical in a very discreet way and that incited me to opt out of the conversation altogether.

Aviva created a safe, warm space for conversation. She always made me feels supported and heard. She also helped me find answers to big questions and guided me in finding what I need and encouraged me to go for it.
