New to Grow
You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. Maybe anxiety is taking up too much space, relationships feel strained, or you find yourself repeating patterns you thought you had already worked through. You want clarity, balance, and healthier ways of responding — but you’re not sure where to start. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 13 years of experience supporting adults, adolescents, and families. I believe each person already holds insight and strength within them. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity, helping you uncover deeper understanding, build on your strengths, and make intentional choices aligned with your values. My approach is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and grounded in mutual respect. Together, we’ll focus on practical tools to manage day-to-day challenges while also exploring deeper patterns that may be getting in the way of feeling grounded, connected, or confident.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and explore what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope will feel different in your life. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. My priority is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. You can expect to leave our first session with greater clarity about next steps and a sense of how we might move forward together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my work is the balance between depth and practicality. I help clients build insight into patterns that no longer serve them while also offering concrete tools to navigate daily stress, anxiety, and relational challenges. I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, psychodynamic theory, solution-focused strategies, and strength-based principles. In practice, this means we may work on managing anxious thoughts, building emotional regulation skills, strengthening communication, and exploring how past experiences continue to shape present reactions. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I meet clients where they are, honor their lived experiences, and support meaningful, lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to support individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or at a turning point. This may look like anxiety that feels constant, difficulty setting boundaries, relationship challenges, life transitions, or unresolved trauma that continues to show up in unexpected ways. I work especially well with clients who are open to self-reflection, curious about their patterns, and motivated to make meaningful changes. Whether you’re seeking emotional balance, healthier relationships, or a stronger connection to your values, I offer a steady, supportive space to explore what’s getting in the way and help you reconnect with your strengths. When you’re ready to move toward greater clarity and confidence, I’m here to support you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) throughout my 13 years as a therapist to help clients better understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. In sessions, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, build practical coping tools, and set goals that support emotional balance and long-term change. I often integrate CBT with mindfulness and strength-based strategies to support each client’s unique needs.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help clients become more present, reduce reactivity, and increase emotional awareness. Through grounding techniques, breathwork, and mindful reflection, clients learn to pause, observe their thoughts without judgment, and respond with greater clarity. I often integrate mindfulness with CBT and other approaches to support long-term emotional regulation and well-being.
Psychodynamic
I use psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore how past experiences, early relationships, and unconscious patterns may be influencing their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By increasing self-awareness and insight, clients can begin to shift long-standing patterns and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. I integrate this approach thoughtfully alongside more structured, solution-focused techniques when appropriate.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use solution-focused and strength-based approaches to help clients identify what’s working, build on their existing strengths, and focus on achievable goals. Rather than staying stuck in problems, we highlight resilience, resourcefulness, and small steps forward that create meaningful change. This approach empowers clients to feel more capable and confident in navigating life’s challenges.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma-Focused CBT to support clients in processing difficult or traumatic experiences in a safe, structured way. This approach helps individuals understand how trauma affects thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while building coping skills, emotional regulation, and a greater sense of safety and empowerment. It’s especially helpful for children, adolescents, and families working through past trauma.
