My name is Holly Duffy, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and I practice Mental Health Therapy remotely online via video and/or phone Counseling sessions with Children, Teens, Adults, Families, and Groups. The Counseling style I mostly use as a foundation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is mainly working on cognition (thoughts), behaviors, coping mechanisms, and more.
Counseling and mainly the client's collaborative input and dedicated often challenging and hopefully fun work during and especially in between weekly therapy towards their improved and maintained lifestyle and mental health growth have contributed to many positive mental health processes, outcomes, and results.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt (present in the moment), Stoic and other Philosophies, Expressive Arts Therapies (Music, Drama, Writing, Crafts, Cooking, Walking, Dancing, Nature, etc.), Integrative, Holistic, Traditional/Ancient/Happier Lifestyles, and Spiritual/Existential.
I have and currently work mainly with primary complaints mainly about negative stress that can often cause negative mental, emotional, relational, and/or physical health symptoms. In addition, I also have a great deal of experience working with a wide range of symptoms including but not limited to growth from negative, neutral, and positive symptoms correlated with what is called Anxiety, Depression, Anger Management, CPTSD, ADHD, OCD, Addiction, and more. Furthermore, I like to integrate CBT with if appropriate and/or helpful, Expressive Arts Therapies including but not limited to hobbies, music, and other skills like cooking, reading, writing, comedy, media, etc. as potential healthier coping skills and self-care management practices to help balance negative symptoms as well.
