I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and my clinical experience includes working with children, teens, and adults with severe mental illnesses and individuals in crisis. I am a compassionate, solutions-oriented professional dedicated to providing exceptional care and devising creative treatment plans for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with multiple issues. I developed a passion and personal commitment to two things: fostering a positive learning environment for individuals with various backgrounds and maximizing individual and family performance.
During the first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other and identify what therapy together looks like. Together we will work on a plan that helps you to become the best version of yourself. We will collaborate on creating the goals that you want to see yourself work towards and outline a plan to get there.
One of my strengths as a provider is to help create a safe space where individuals can feel heard, understood, and not judged. Life can be hard enough so it's important to have a safe space where you can be your vulnerable true self.
Feeling stagnant, unmotivated, or a sense of not living your true purpose is not uncommon for a lot of us, especially since the pandemic. Feeling stuck and unmotivated sometimes can create a sense of hopelessness, fear, and worry. When we find ourselves feeling this way, it hits different and for many of us, it can be difficult to talk about with friends or family. Seemingly moving through life just going through the motions but not feeling fulfilled or having difficulty finding happiness. I love working with adults who are eager to improve but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past six years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
I’ve been using Solution Focused Therapy in my practice for the past nine years. It is a goal-oriented and brief therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and enhancing clients' strengths and resources to create positive change in their lives.
I have used Psychodynamic Therapy in my practice for the past nine years. Psychodynamic therapy is an approach to psychotherapy that explores the unconscious processes and past experiences to understand and address current psychological issues.
