(he/him)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience helping people navigate difficult seasons of life. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, which has reinforced my belief that people are often more resilient than they realize. My approach is practical, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I strive to create a supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to build on your strengths. Whether you are working through anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to help you develop the tools and confidence to move forward.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, what challenges you're facing, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I'll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process and how I work. There is no pressure to share everything right away. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward the changes you want to make.
I bring a calm, grounded, and nonjudgmental presence to therapy. My approach is practical and focused on helping clients identify their strengths, build resilience, and develop skills they can use in their everyday lives. My experience in crisis work has taught me how to help people find stability and perspective, even during some of life's most challenging moments. I believe in meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively toward their goals. I strive to create a space where people feel heard, supported, and empowered. Therapy should feel like a genuine conversation, not a lecture.
Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, or major life changes start getting in the way. Sometimes it can feel like you're stuck, repeating the same patterns, or unsure of what to do next. I believe people are often more resilient than they realize. My role isn't to fix your problems or tell you how to live your life. Instead, I provide support, perspective, and practical tools while helping you recognize the strengths you already have. Together, we can work to better understand what's getting in the way, build on what's working, and create meaningful change that fits your goals and values. I strive to create a down-to-earth, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, feel supported, and work toward greater balance and well-being.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a go-to in my practice because it helps break down overwhelming thoughts and emotions into manageable pieces. With 15 years in settings like mobile crisis, inpatient, and corrections, I’ve used CBT to help people challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, build coping skills, and take back control of their lives—one thought at a time.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is one of my favorite tools, especially for managing intense emotions, impulsivity, and relationship struggles. With experience in high-intensity settings like corrections, inpatient, and crisis teams, I’ve used DBT skills—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation—to help clients navigate tough moments. It’s practical, effective, and life-changing for many.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is all about being present and creating space between a reaction and a response. Whether I’m working with clients in crisis, inpatient, or community settings, I use mindfulness to help manage stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation. Simple techniques—like breathwork and grounding—can make a huge difference in daily life, helping clients feel more in control and less overwhelmed.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Sometimes, you just need to focus on what’s next instead of what’s wrong. In my 15 years across crisis, inpatient, and community mental health, I’ve used solution-focused therapy to help clients set realistic, achievable goals. It’s about finding small wins, shifting perspectives, and taking steps forward—because progress, no matter how small, is still progress.
Strength-Based
I believe everyone has strengths—even if they don’t see them yet. My job is to help uncover and build on those strengths to create meaningful change. Whether working in crisis response, inpatient, or community mental health, I focus on what’s working, not just what’s wrong. Empowering clients to see their own resilience makes all the difference.
