Are you struggling with the ability to practice self-love? Or maybe you are not entirely sure exactly what that is. Perhaps you are tired of feeling bad about yourself, your appearance, guilty for not being "enough" to others, and lacking energy. For some people, feeling like this leads them to try and feel better by eating, overspending money, overexercising, or investing in bad relationships. Often enough, time spent in these ways (and more) can leave someone feeling even more depleted. If you can relate to any of this, you are certainly not alone. Together we will tackle your discontent stemming from your challenges to understand and practice self-love. You will learn what self-love consists of, understand how to shift any unhelpful thought patterns, build better boundaries, and put into practice what you have learned during weekly sessions and through homework assignments in between sessions to improve your ability to demonstrate that you love being YOU! I have over 7 years of experience as a licensed therapist working with individuals and couples. I am also a licensed CPA so I integrate a practical and structured approach to therapy where I will validate your concerns while supporting your movement towards solutions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I want to get to know you and how your challenges with self-love are negatively impacting you physically, emotionally, and even financially. I also want to find out the circumstances that may have contributed to these current feelings and if there have been times when you felt much better. From there we can begin to establish some goals and a solid plan towards achieving those goals in follow up session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have received much training and have many years of experience working with a variety of conditions including depression and anxiety and people just like you. I have great empathy for those who struggle to feel good about themselves and their bodies. Being a career changer and a mother of 3 gives me great personal insight into these challenges as well.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT can be very helpful for clients who struggle with certain behaviors including panic, effective communication in relationships, and ineffective coping such as overspending, overeating, and more. CBT helps people to shift unhelpful thinking patterns to more realistic ones which leads to improved feelings and more productive behaviors.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a very useful therapy that provides people with very useful tools that are easy to learn and implement. For those who struggle with emotional regulation such as overreacting or inappropriately reacting to circumstances, DBT has helped people to gain insight into their reactions, the emotions that fuel those reactions and tools to shift their process.
