Hello, my name is Isai (E-sai-EE) I'm an LCSW based in California. I'm a younger therapist with experience working with all ages and demographics. My experience and training as a social worker revolves around individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. In my sessions, I like to show up as easy-going, supportive, all while being adaptable to your personal needs. I enjoy helping teens, adults, and older adults who want to work through difficult life issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I like to leave it open to whatever you need. Whether it's diving right into what's bringing you into therapy, or taking some time to get to know each other and feel comfortable in the session. I know therapy can be overwhelming and can take time, so I always like to check in with what you need and what you're looking for.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my strengths include being calm, accepting, welcoming, and creating a comfortable space to discuss difficult issues.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Some of my professional interests and specialities include working with teens, young adults, older adults, family therapy, and those who struggle with anxiety, depression, autism, oppositional defiant disorder, marital/relationship issues, men's issues, anger management, and complex/severe mental health issues.

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

From my experience I enjoy taking time to understand teens/children and then have parents involved in the session when the teen, kiddo, or parent feels ready.

Strength-Based

During sessions I focus on my patients strengths to help guide sessions and to find ways to make positive life changes.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one method I tend to use when it could be helpful to focus on more positive and helpful thinking patterns.

Play Therapy

When working with teens and children, I use art therapy and online play therapy activities as a tool for those who aren't as eager to be in therapy. This helps them comfortable and open up about their issues through their art/play.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I'm formally trained in DBT and I like to incorporate it in sessions to help individuals work on building/maintaining relationships and manage strong emotions.
