I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults). I have worked with couples and groups. I am also a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist and I have provided counseling services to clients who have struggled with addiction issues.
In our first session together, we will start with introductions. There will be paperwork and consent to treat that will need to be completed. We will address your reason for seeking counselors and develop an individualized treatment design to help you reach your therapeutic goals.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my years of experience working with an array of clients who presented with various challenges. Another strength that I possess is my compassion. I think compassion is the heart of any therapeutic relationship and my compassion for my clients helps me to continue this very important work. In addition, I believe that it is important in all aspects of life is to be open to cutting-edge innovations and techniques to bring about positive outcomes in a more efficient manner.
I enjoying working with individuals who are considering change and are ready for change. I find the greatest success in therapy is with clients who are willing to examine their behaviors and are open to broadening their perspective. Therapy can cause clients to be apprehensive, but my role is to extend support and create a safe environment to process life events, explore options, and to flourish to become emotionally healthy
