New to Grow
I am a compassionate and collaborative therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and balance. My approach integrates mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and faith-based support when desired, allowing me to meet clients where they are while helping them move toward meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. Together, we focus on building practical skills, increasing self-awareness, and aligning your goals with what matters most to you.
In our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, any current challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—this is simply a starting point. I’ll also ask some questions to better understand your background, strengths, and any important aspects of your life, including your values or faith if that’s something you’d like to incorporate. Together, we’ll begin to identify goals and discuss how we can work toward them using a combination of mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and other supportive approaches tailored to you. You can expect our first session to feel collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you feel heard and understood, while also beginning to build a clear path forward.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to balance compassion with a clear, goal-oriented focus. I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported, while also helping them move toward meaningful, practical change. My approach is integrative, drawing from mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and faith-based support when desired. This allows me to adapt to each client’s unique needs—whether they are looking for concrete tools to manage challenges, deeper self-awareness, or a way to incorporate their values and beliefs into their growth. Clients often appreciate my ability to help them identify their strengths, gain clarity on what they want, and take manageable steps forward. I focus on building skills that can be used outside of sessions, so clients leave therapy feeling more confident, grounded, and equipped to navigate life on their own.
I am best positioned to support individuals who are seeking meaningful, practical change while also valuing deeper reflection and personal growth. Many of the clients I work with are navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, or feeling stuck in patterns they’re ready to move beyond. They are often motivated for change, open to self-exploration, and interested in developing tools they can apply in their everyday lives. I work especially well with clients who appreciate a collaborative, goal-oriented approach, while also being open to slowing down and building greater self-awareness through mindfulness. For those who hold spiritual or faith-based values, I offer a space where those beliefs can be integrated into the therapy process in a way that feels authentic and supportive. My approach is a good fit for individuals who want to focus on solutions and forward movement, while also understanding themselves more deeply. Whether someone is looking to build coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, reconnect with their values, or find a greater sense of purpose and balance, I aim to meet them where they are and help them move toward where they want to be.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy is a core part of my approach, helping clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences without judgment. I have experience integrating mindfulness practices into sessions to support individuals in managing stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. In my work, I use mindfulness techniques such as grounding exercises, breath awareness, and present-moment observation to help clients slow down and reconnect with themselves. These practices create space to respond thoughtfully rather than react automatically, which can be especially helpful when navigating overwhelming emotions or ingrained patterns. I tailor mindfulness strategies to each client’s comfort level and goals, whether that means introducing brief, practical exercises for daily life or incorporating deeper reflective practices over time. My aim is to help clients build sustainable skills that increase self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of balance both in and outside of therapy.
Faith based therapy
Christian Faith-based therapy is an approach I offer for clients who want to incorporate their spiritual or religious beliefs into the healing process. I have experience working with individuals from diverse faith backgrounds and respect the deeply personal role that spirituality can play in one’s life, values, and decision-making. In my practice, I integrate faith in a way that feels supportive and aligned with each client’s beliefs. This may include exploring spiritual themes, drawing on faith-based values for guidance, or incorporating practices such as prayer, reflection, or scripture when appropriate and desired by the client. My goal is not to impose any beliefs, but to create a space where clients can openly connect their faith to their personal growth and healing. I use this approach to help clients find meaning, strengthen resilience, and navigate challenges through both psychological tools and spiritual insight. Whether someone is facing life transitions, relationship concerns, or emotional struggles, faith-based therapy can offer an added layer of comfort, purpose, and direction.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented, strengths-based approach that helps clients create meaningful change by focusing on solutions rather than problems. I have experience using this method to support clients in identifying what’s already working in their lives and building on those successes to move forward with clarity and confidence. In my practice, I guide clients to define their goals, envision their preferred future, and recognize the internal and external resources they already possess. Through targeted questions and collaborative conversation, we highlight patterns of resilience, past successes, and small, achievable steps that can lead to lasting change. I tailor this approach to each individual, helping clients make progress in a relatively short period of time while still feeling supported and understood. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy can be especially helpful for those seeking practical strategies, increased motivation, and a clear path toward their desired outcomes.
