New to Grow
"I am a LCSW who focuses on treating the 'whole person,' I specialize in the intersection of substance use disorders, domestic violence, and mental health issues. I offer a safe, confidential environment to address deep-seated trauma, codependency, and addiction. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed techniques, motivational interviewing, and attachment based therapy I help clients develop effective coping skills, manage emotional dysregulation, gain empowerment, and build self-esteem. Whether you are needing immediate crisis or long-term recovery, I am here to provide structured, supportive guidance to help change occur now and for in the future.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In the first session with me, you can expect a compassionate, gentle approach who is listening to you and wanting to get to know you. Should you be in crisis, that will be addressed first. I consider myself to have a open mind and willing to hear your concerns. Learning more about you as a client will help future sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I worked in substance use disorders for 13 years, mental health for 3 years, and now working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, which has been for the past 3 years. Motivational interviewing, CBT, and attachment based therapies are all methods I use. Again, I prefer a gentle, calm approach rather than direct approaches.

If you are looking for a therapist who offers support developing coping skills for anxiety, depression, and triggers. A therapist who provides guidance toward self-compassion, resilience, and healthy boundaries. Some approaches I use include mindfulness, CBT, attachment based therapy, trauma informed therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Using CBT to help individuals create a more positive outlook of themselves, or to reduce anxiety, and control the behaviors by changing the thought when triggered. It includes interconnectedness, by using thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and altering one can positively influence the others. It works well with many different areas, including substance use.
Grief Therapy
Individuals suffer from all types of grief, from death to ending a relationship, a child moving away and so on. Understanding grief and the stages of grief help individuals move forward.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Currently use this in my daily practice working with victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Clients gain mindfulness and acceptance to help achieve greater psychological flexibility.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Helping individuals see possible and changeable rather than focusing the history or causes of problems. Recognizing clients have the inherent strengths and resources to solve their problems. Working towards achieving goals through manageable, small settings.
Attachment-based
Used with individuals who have suffered histories of trauma, abandonment fears, or difficulty forming close relationships. Promotes healthier relationship dynamics, improved self-esteem, gaining independence, and reducing anxiety.
