New to Grow
I became a Licensed Psychotherapist in 2001. Relationship therapy is my main specialty after years of conducting counseling sessions and realizing that this is where most of our pain lies even while life itself can be very troubling, often presenting multiple challenges at once. Seeking individual or couples therapy is a thoughtful and brave investment for yourself. I am currently welcoming new clients, offering flexible office hours and easy online booking to meet your needs. I look forward to starting this journey together. Please feel free to email me, visit my website and schedule an appointment to get started.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Selecting a new therapist can feel scary as you hope to find a warm and healing connection. A vital step in counseling is finding the courage to open up and share what does not feel right, paving the way toward healing. My goal is to offer you a safe space and empowering tools, guiding you toward intentional steps that lead to wellness and peace. I look forward to walking this path with you and warmly invite you to connect with me for a personal consultation.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I truly believe that listening is the most powerful form of connection when someone is seeking to be heard, and understanding, is the most powerful form of healing once they have been heard. I have worked with couples and families since 2005 as a Certified Family Law Mediator. I hold additional certification as a Florida State Qualified Supervisor of Mental Health Interns and have been credentialed as a National Board Certified Counselor since 2001.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Welcome, and thank you for reviewing my page. A supportive word from me to you: Making a decision to gain a better sense of purpose and defining (or redefining) greater harmony and alignment is the greatest gift you can pursue. I specifically work with clients wanting to pursue greater emotional and mental health through reflection therapy, wellness collaboration, fitness goals, peace and personal growth aspirations. Individualized counseling plans are created together to fit each person's unique style of healing and desired growth. Counseling goal(s) are purposeful and geared towards identifying challenges you can't control, seeking to understand what hurts and why, and then moving forward with clarity to produce greater harmony for yourself and others around you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help support you to explore and understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Individualized counseling plans are created together to fit each person's unique style of healing and desired growth. Counseling goal(s) are purposeful and geared towards seeking to understand what hurts and why, and then move forward with clarity to produce greater harmony for yourself and others around you. Together, we’ll gently identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be harming you and keeping you stuck. We then begin to develop new practical strategies, like building awareness and practicing new thoughts that serve you well and allow you to feel better, more balanced, and empowered in the way you respond to life events. My clients gain positive mindsets that center on responding to life’s challenges rather than reacting with a sense of hopelessness and defeat. Welcome to your newly exposed and activated brain power!
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Committment Therapy is the best! This acknowledgement of your soul pain begins to release the pent up “everything” that you have ever experienced. Holding on to unprocessed and unhealed hurts, betrayals, rejection and any harmful experience only continues to harm you. Acceptance does “not’ mean forgetting or letting go of harmful experiences, it means “time to process” it in a safe space and heal. And that is a commitment to yourself. Embrace today, believe in tomorrow is the main empathetic and powerful core of A & C Therapy.
