Hello, my name is Ace (they/them or ze/hir pronouns) and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in the intersections of disability, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ identity. Have you ever wished you could talk about your concerns without having to give a 101 level lecture first? Are you struggling to find treatment as an Autistic adult or an adult with ADHD? Whether you're undiagnosed, questioning, newly diagnosed, or just looking for some extra support, I'm here to meet you where you're at with tools and strategies that work. I'm a queer, Autistic, non-binary psychologist of color and I've spent the last seven years learning to provide support to members of my communities as they navigate systems of care not built for us. I believe that therapy should be collaborative and consensual, that evidence-based treatment must honor culture and neurotype, and that gender-affirming care is a human right. If you're struggling to build a system of supports and accommodations that will allow you to thrive, if you're questioning your gender or sexuality and need a guide, or if you're just looking for a safer space to process the everyday stresses of your life. You are welcome here.

I began my career as an elementary school teacher and later went on to open and run a preschool for 10 years. Working with children and families during those seasons taught me so much about resilience, connection, and the power of being truly seen. I was a late starter in my own therapy journey, and it was one of the bravest and most life-changing decisions I’ve ever made. Through the support of incredible therapists, I was finally able to face and heal the traumas I had carried for so long. Their compassion and wisdom inspired me deeply, so much so that I returned to graduate school to become a therapist myself. My desire is simple: to help others in the ways my therapists helped me. I believe that every person has their own story and lived experiences that shape who they are. I come to each session with an open mind and heart, meeting clients where they are with compassion, curiosity, and respect. My goal is to create a space where people feel safe to explore, heal, and grow. I’ve been married to my best friend for over 25 years, and together we have an adult daughter and two beloved fur babies. Outside of the therapy room, you’ll most likely find me out in nature, kayaking, walking trails, or simply enjoying the calm. My family and I love playing all kinds of board games, and I also enjoy reading, painting, and watching movies when I need to recharge. At the heart of everything I do is a deep belief that healing happens in safe, authentic connection and I am honored every time someone invites me to be part of that journey.

Hi, my name is Vienna Aslanian, and I have been practicing as a licensed therapist since the beginning of 2017. I chose to become a therapist after practicing in the field of social work with children and families. Witnessing the trauma and the way that trauma impacted those individual lives caused me to develop an interest in and concern for individuals struggling with PTSD and childhood trauma. Seeing the intergenerational struggles and hearing people's personal stories on the matter made me interested in the field of therapy. I have always enjoyed listening to people's stories and making a genuine connection with someone. I believe in the healing power of therapy and the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I believe in the importance of active listening and supportive guidance. I believe in the importance of empathy and nonjudgment; I value making you feel cared about and understood. I hold myself to high expectations regarding reliability and consistency in order to provide the best support and care possible. I attend training regularly on the best and most effective practices/therapeutic modalities.

Hello! My name is Max Croteau and I have had the pleasure of being a licensed professional counselor for almost 10 years now. In this time, I have been able to mold my style of understanding, accepting while also challenging and motivational into a successful model of growth and change for those who choose to work with me. I truly am a believer that therapy can sometimes be a side-by-side process, or it can be a process where one guides and the other follows, but ultimately the choice is up to you. I don’t want you to live a life that I tell you to live. I want to help you find a life that is truly a genuine fit for yourself and one that you can see yourself living without even having to think about it. I’ve specialized in addiction, OCD, trauma therapy, family and couples counseling and various other topics in the world of mental health. One important factor that I have found is that each person has their own individual story and their journey will be just as individualized. No matter how similar, we are all different. A cookie cutter approach to the rest of your life is not something that you will get from me. I will truly meet you where you are and work with you every step of the way to achieve the success that you are looking for. I always guarantee every person I work with that therapy may not be easy, but in the end, it will be incredibly worthwhile. I’d love to start and/or continue that journey. Growth has no final destination, just the journey. It’s up to you what path you’d like to take.

Hi, I’m Kyra. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington, I support adults and parents navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, and life transitions who feel stuck, disconnected, or worn down. As a mom, former military spouse, and current law enforcement spouse, I understand the invisible load of high-stress roles and the pressure to hold everything together. My lived experience allows me to approach therapy with empathy, cultural understanding, and deep respect for the challenges faced by individuals and families in high-stress roles. I use an eclectic, person-centered approach, drawing from multiple therapeutic modalities to meet you where you are and support you in reaching your goals. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I believe your care should reflect your unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Even when you feel stuck, movement is possible. My role is to partner with you in a judgment-free space where you can regroup, build confidence, and reconnect with your strengths. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

I'm Anabel, a clinical social worker and certified trauma therapist and I work with people who are really good at holding it all together — until they're not. If you're exhausted in a way that's hard to explain, carrying more than your share, and wondering if this is just what life feels like now — this is the space I built for that. I work with adults who are holding everything together — managing responsibilities, relationships, and internal pressure — while quietly wondering why it all still feels so hard. My practice, Surviving to Thriving, exists for people who are ready to stop white-knuckling their way through life and start actually living it.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and an Educator who is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. Much of my work focuses on supporting women, children, adolescents, and families as they work through trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the everyday stresses that can impact emotional well-being. Outside of my professional work, I am a proud single mama to five children and a grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren. My life is full, busy, and deeply grounded in family and community. I am also an equestrian and love spending time outdoors caring for my animals and gardening. I am currently training several of my animals—including my pig, goat, miniature horse and mule, cat, and dogs—to serve as emotional support animals that I hope to thoughtfully incorporate into therapeutic experiences in the future. I believe that connection with animals and nature can be incredibly healing and can offer unique opportunities for comfort, regulation, and emotional growth. These personal experiences help shape my approach to therapy. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore their experiences, and work toward meaningful healing and growth.

Yes, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 14 years of experience — but first, I’m a human who understands that life can feel overwhelming, confusing, and deeply challenging at times. Therapy isn’t just about talking to someone; it’s about working with someone who understands how complex and challenging life can be. I show up exactly where you are, a safe space free of judgement and profound understanding. I work with adults facing anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, and the quiet internal battles that don’t always show on the outside. Many of the people I see are capable and responsible, yet feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, or unsure how to move forward. I’m deeply dedicated to meeting people exactly where they are — without judgment — while also helping them grow. Therapy with me isn’t just about talking; it’s about understanding yourself more clearly and learning tools you can begin using immediately. I blend practical strategies with deeper emotional work so that insight turns into real-life change. My goal is to help you feel more steady, more self-aware, and more confident navigating your relationships and your life.

Welcome to my practice! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with more than 20 years of experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, anger issues, and self-harm behaviors. I want to get to know you and what might be happening with you that you are seeking counseling for. Most people come to therapy when they are in some type of distress. Sometimes this is conscious and sometimes not. If you are feeling powerless or distressed for some reason or grieving a loss in life, I would like to see how we can work in therapy. The way we work will depend on the issues you bring to therapy. I have experience with different approaches to therapy including but not limited to HUMANISTIC THERAPY (includes the importance of personal responsibility, and a positive, non-judgmental approach), STRUCTURAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (includes the importance of family structure and healthy boundaries), GOTTMAN (includes helping couples communicate better, resolve conflicts constructively, and create a shared sense of meaning), CBT (generally includes a short-term approach that helps you identify and change negative or unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior to improve your mood and overall well-being). All the above types of counseling styles point towards change or growth. Many times, there is a creative element to counseling and many times the counseling can give you more of a sense of purpose for yourself in life. Please see my calendar with Grow to sign up for an appointment today.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Arizona and Indiana. I received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary. I have had the opportunity to work in and gain knowledge from a diverse collection of settings that include elementary, middle and high school, hospital chaplaincy department, private practice and private agencies working with families in the child welfare system. Each of these settings has provided me with hands-on experience working with individuals and families in crisis, as well as those who are faced with navigating some of life’s challenges such as divorce, loss, and addiction. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I love a systems approach, understanding that we do not exist in a vacuum, but rather are part of larger systems. I take a non-judgmental, warm approach to therapy and I believe in tailoring my therapy towards my client's individual needs. Together we will establish goals and design a path towards a healthier way of being. I draw from a multitude of therapeutic techniques that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solutions Focused Therapy. Clients who work with me have a desire to change. Whether facing everyday challenges that are holding them back from living a fulfilling life or struggling with family dynamics that have caused distress or trying to navigate through grief, my clients can learn to use their insight to find new ways of functioning that better serve what they want from this life. My clients can see a future for themselves that brings peace, happiness and healing. The first step towards seeking help is often the most difficult. I provide trauma-informed, client-centered counseling with an emphasis on somatic awareness and nervous system regulation. Clients often seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or constrained by patterns that developed in response to past experiences. My role is to support you in building safety, increasing emotional and physiological regulation, and developing the capacity for meaningful and sustainable change. My approach is integrative and outcome-focused, combining relational therapy with solution-focused and body-based interventions. Treatment is collaborative and tailored to your goals, with attention to symptom reduction, improved functioning, and increased flexibility in how you respond to internal and external stressors. Somatic therapy is a central component of my work. With training in yoga therapy, massage therapy, and body-oriented psychotherapy, I incorporate interventions such as grounding techniques, breath regulation, mindfulness practices, guided imagery, and gentle movement when clinically appropriate and with your consent. These approaches support increased interoceptive awareness, reduced trauma-related activation, and a more regulated nervous system. This work is particularly effective for individuals experiencing trauma and PTSD symptoms, anxiety, chronic stress, and disordered eating. I help clients identify and modify patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior that no longer support well-being, while also addressing the underlying physiological responses that maintain these patterns. Therapy is relational, structured, and often short- to medium-term, though length of treatment varies based on individual goals and clinical needs. Progress toward goals is reviewed regularly to ensure treatment remains effective and aligned. Clients are encouraged to ask questions and participate actively in the therapeutic process. Transparency, collaboration, and respect are foundational to my work.

I work with clients who are thoughtful, introspective, and motivated to better understand themselves but may feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, self-criticism, or uncertainty about their direction in life. Many people I work with are navigating questions related to identity, relationships, purpose, or major life transitions. My goal is to help clients gain clarity about the patterns influencing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they can move forward with greater confidence and intention. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop emotional regulation skills, and build practical strategies that improve daily functioning. I also incorporate narrative and reflective techniques that allow clients to explore the personal stories and experiences that shape how they see themselves and the choices they make. An important part of my work involves helping clients move beyond insight and into meaningful action. Therapy often includes identifying automatic thought patterns, practicing grounding and emotional regulation strategies, and experimenting with new behaviors that align with a client’s values and long-term goals. I also use structured check-ins and evidence-based tools to track progress over time. By regularly reviewing mood patterns, emotional changes, and skill development, clients are able to see measurable progress while staying focused on what matters most to them. Clients often describe my approach as collaborative, thoughtful, and practical. Together, we create a space where clients can reflect deeply on their experiences while also developing the tools needed to navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.

Hi, I'm Sara. Here's what I want you to know: It's not normal. The answer to the question you've been asking yourself is, 'It's not normal.' Name-calling is not normal. Silencing yourself to keep the peace is not normal. That on-edge feeling is not normal. Feeling shame at the idea of others finding out how you're treated behind closed doors is not normal. You've lost yourself somewhere along the way, and you didn't even notice it happening. When did 'you' start shrinking? I help high-achieving, high-functioning individuals caught in controlling and abusive relationships see through the gaslighting, reconnect with their intuition, and shift from survival to self-trust.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who practiced for ten years in a nationally recognized outpatient healthcare clinic before beginning my solo practice. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Chapman University, I decided to change careers and pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Working for the clinic provided an extraordinary learning environment and allowed me to benefit from collaboration with amazing clinicians who share my passion to help others. I now continue to utilize the skills and experience I've accumulated to share these benefits with my clients.

I believe that healing happens when we look at the whole picture. Mental wellness isn't just about what is happening in our minds, rather it is deeply connected to our environment, our social structures, and our lived experiences. With a professional background rooted in systemic advocacy, housing case management, and youth mentorship, my practice is built on the understanding that real emotional healing requires a foundation of physical, environmental, and psychological safety. I offer a space that is both deeply compassionate and grounded, where you can feel safe to explore your most authentic self. My communication style is a blend of gentle curiosity and direct, honest reflection, ensuring our sessions feel like a genuine conversation. I believe in meeting you with warmth and a touch of real-world relatability.

With a seasoned background in military life, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with service members and their families—supporting them as they navigate the evolving landscape of military culture and its impact on relationships, identity, and transition. My twenty years of service as an Army chaplain shaped my understanding of resilience, loss, and the power of story in healing. Those experiences continue to inform my work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Whether you’re seeking support as an individual, couple, or family, I will walk alongside you as you re‑vision your story in ways that feel authentic and empowering. My approach integrates Narrative Therapy, Solution‑Focused Therapy, CBT, and Family Systems perspectives, always centering your voice and values. Together, we’ll explore the beliefs that have shaped your current story, gently deconstruct what no longer serves you, and open space for new, life‑giving possibilities. I believe therapy is a collaborative process—one that honors your lived experience and invites growth through curiosity and compassion. Our work will focus on listening deeply, identifying patterns that keep you stuck, and cultivating the kind of change that aligns with your preferred future. Whether you’re navigating transition, relational strain, or identity shifts, I offer a grounded, empathetic space where your story matters. It’s an honor to join clients in this process of re‑authoring their lives, finding coherence amid change, and discovering renewed meaning in the next page of their story.

We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Washington from Spokane to Tacoma! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Washington.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
