New to Grow
I am a dedicated clinical psychologist committed to helping individuals navigate the complexities of identity, relationships, and personal growth with authenticity and purpose. My practice provides a supportive, sex-positive, and inclusive space for high-achieving women, the LGBTQ+ community, and those exploring non-traditional relationship structures like Ethical Non-Monogamy. By integrating evidence-based techniques with a deep understanding of minority stress and life transitions, I empower my clients to break through internal barriers and cultivate a life that aligns with their truest values.
In our first session, my primary goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard and understood. We will begin with a collaborative conversation to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve, whether that involves navigating a major life transition, refining your relationship dynamics, or processing identity-related stress. This is a "get to know you" phase where we’ll discuss your history and current challenges, but it is also an opportunity for you to see how I work and ensure we are a good fit. By the end of our time together, we will have the beginnings of a tailored roadmap for our work. You can expect a balance of professional clinical insight and warm, authentic engagement. We won’t solve everything in the first hour, but you will leave with a clearer sense of how we can use tools like CBT, ACT, or attachment-based strategies to help you move toward the life you envision
What really sets my work apart is: A "Brave Space" for Identity: I help you navigate the intersection of minority stress and personal growth without the need for a filter. Balance of Why and How: We’ll explore your attachment history to understand your patterns, but I’ll also give you tangible tools (like CBT and ACT) to manage the daily stresses of adulthood and parenthood. Human Connection: I skip the "blank slate" persona. I show up as a real person, fostering a collaborative partnership that makes it easier for you to do the heavy lifting of transformation.
I am best positioned to serve high-achieving young adults, women, and members of the LGBTQ+ community who are navigating the complexities of identity, autonomy, and non-traditional lifestyles. My practice is a dedicated space for those seeking a sex-positive and kink-allied environment, particularly individuals and partners exploring Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM) and polyamory. I work most effectively with clients who possess a growth-oriented mindset and are ready to move beyond societal "shoulds" to build lives rooted in authentic desire and psychological flexibility. My ideal clients often present with concerns related to minority stress, attachment trauma, or the multifaceted pressures of major life transitions. I am particularly drawn to working with individuals navigating the stresses of modern adulthood, from the identity shifts inherent in parenthood to the challenges of balancing professional ambition with personal fulfillment. Whether we are dismantling internalized stigmas, refining communication within a multi-partner dynamic, or breaking generational cycles, my goal is to empower these resilient individuals to cultivate a sense of belonging and purpose on their own terms.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients shift their relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than engaging in a constant struggle to eliminate them. By integrating core processes such as cognitive defusion and mindful presence, I guide individuals in accepting internal experiences while clarifying their deepest personal values.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a structured, goal-oriented framework to help clients identify and reframe maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors. By examining the functional relationship between thoughts, feelings, and actions, I guide individuals in developing practical coping strategies to challenge cognitive distortions. This collaborative process empowers clients to modify their appraisals of stressful situations, leading to significant improvements in emotional regulation and overall psychological resilience.
Attachment-based
I incorporate Attachment-Based Therapy to explore how early formative relationships shape a client’s current emotional responses and interpersonal dynamics. By establishing a secure therapeutic alliance, I provide a "safe base" for clients to process past relational traumas and identify insecure attachment styles. In our sessions, we work to build self-compassion and develop healthier ways of connecting with others, ultimately fostering more secure, fulfilling, and stable adult relationships.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to shift the focus from past problems to future possibilities and inherent strengths. Rather than performing an extensive post-mortem on the origin of a distress, I collaborate with clients to identify their existing resources and "exceptions"—those times when the problem was less severe or absent altogether.
Eclectic
I adopt an eclectic approach to ensure that the therapeutic process is uniquely tailored to the specific needs and goals of each client. Rather than adhering strictly to a single theoretical framework, I intentionally integrate diverse techniques from modalities such as CBT, ACT, and attachment-based theories. This flexibility allows me to draw on the most effective evidence-based tools for a given situation—whether that involves addressing immediate behavioral changes or exploring deeper relational patterns—ensuring a holistic and responsive treatment experience.
