Hello, there! I'm Tonya
Are you struggling with feelings of inadequacy, difficulty with making everyday decisions, or a loss rather it be a person, career, marriage or a traumatic event?
Clarity – We all want it – it’s a fundamental human need and together we can work towards gaining perspective and balance. I desire to create a safe, non-judgmental, and inviting space for clarity, hope and healing.
For the last twenty-plus years, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health settings as a social worker. I am passionate about helping individuals and together, we can identify what's not working, find clarity, and a sense of hope and get you back to balance!
I am a somatic therapist, not just a talk therapist. I work in the body. I help adults reduce overwhelm, build practical tools, and create real, lasting change in daily life. My work integrates structured, evidence based approaches with a nervous system focused approach that supports regulation, recovery, and clarity.
I focus on you as a person, not a diagnosis, and tailor the work to how you function best.

Four things Shannon wants you to know before you begin therapy with her :
1. She wants treatment to work just as much as you do.
2. She is not judging you, and needs to hear all of your truth(s) in order to best support you. You can't heal what you won't reveal.
3. She can not and will not fight you for your healing.
What that means is: She will not work harder than you do. However, she will be right there beside you as the two of you navigate your Mental Health journey together.
4. If you don't connect with her, that's okay. Don't be afraid to try someone new, and keep trying until you find the right fit.
Shannon looks forward to working with you!
