Life doesn't always move in a straight line and sometimes the detours can leave you feeling stuck., hard on yourself, and unsure of which direction to go next. That's exactly the kind of moment I am here for. I'm Jamie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Texas. I use a blend of narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and eclectic therapy to help you reconnect with your strengths and shift stories that are holding you back and build a path forward that feels like yours.
My goal is to make therapy feel like a collaborative, grounded process where you feel where you feel each session leaves you with something to work with. If you're ready to move toward something better and more aligned to who you are I would love to help you on your path to making that happen.
You will leave your session with greater clarity, stronger self awareness. and concrete strategies you can use right away to feel more grounded and confident., and aligned with who you want to be.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by stress or navigating relationships, career or a sense of self, you don't have to do it alone. I offer a warm holistic approach that connects mind, body, and overall well-being., incorporating mindfulness to support your mental health. Using cognitive behavioral, narrative and eclectic therapy we'll wrk together to build insight, shift patterns and connect you to who you want to be.
Mind-body approach
The mind and body work in synchronicity to each other. A healthy body will influence a healthy mind. I help clients to explore healthy habits to improve their mental well being.
Motivational Interviewing
I focus on the stages of change pre-contemplation, contemplation, preparation, action and maintenance and elicit the change process with clients through identifying what motivates them and provides meaning in their life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I assist clients to identify thoughts and behaviors that are getting in the way of their happiness and to identify alternatives and more positive ways of thinking This in turn helps them to turn to to these alternative meaning that empower them.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I explore observing rather than pushing away stressors and cultivating curiosity of the positive, negative and even neutral thoughts and feelings that circulate in the mind. I focus on mindfulness that can be incorporated through breathing, movement and during every day moments.
Narrative
I help clients see problems as separate from their identity. We process where these problems originated in belief systems and identifying alternative narratives that can be supported and developed.
