I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work. I specialize in supporting women who are carrying the weight of the world—juggling responsibilities, managing emotional wounds, and trying to hold it all together. My approach is rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based practices. I create a space where women feel safe to unpack their pain, process life’s challenges, and reconnect with their inner strength. My goal is to help you move from surviving to thriving—on your terms.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, welcoming space where you can share as much or as little as you want—no pressure, no judgment. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what’s brought you to therapy, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I’ll explain how therapy works, answer any questions you have, and go over things like confidentiality and session structure. We’ll start outlining your goals, but more importantly, you’ll leave knowing you’ve been truly heard and that you have a partner in this process. I hope that you walk away feeling a bit lighter and a lot more hopeful about what’s ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are my genuine empathy, realness, and deep commitment to my clients’ growth. I’m not just here to listen—I’m here to actively support you, challenge you when needed, and celebrate your wins along the way. My background in social work and trauma gives me a broad toolkit, but I always tailor my approach to fit you, not just your symptoms. Clients often tell me they feel seen and safe in our sessions, which allows them to open up and do the real work of healing. I believe in collaboration, honesty, and meeting you where you are, so you can build strength and confidence that lasts long after therapy ends.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with women who are tired of being “strong” all the time. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but internally struggling with burnout, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, or the pressure of constantly showing up for others. Some are navigating the lingering effects of trauma, while others are simply trying to find balance between motherhood, relationships, careers, and personal growth. These women often come to me feeling unseen, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to prioritize themselves. If you’ve ever felt like you’ve lost yourself in the hustle, or you’re ready to stop just surviving and start healing, I’m here to help. My approach is especially helpful for those looking for more than just surface-level coping skills. Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing you down, unpack the emotional patterns keeping you stuck, and rebuild a life that honors your peace, your voice, and your needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help clients recognize, challenge, and reframe unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that contribute to anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties. By focusing on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, clients learn practical skills to manage distress and improve overall functioning. CBT is an evidence-based approach proven effective for a variety of concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and OCD. My approach is collaborative and structured, empowering clients to take an active role in their healing.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is a foundational part of my practice. I provide clients—and, when appropriate, their families—with clear, compassionate information about mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options. This approach increases self-awareness, reduces stigma, and helps clients make informed decisions about their care. I also equip clients with tools to recognize early warning signs, manage symptoms effectively, and support relapse prevention. I guide clients in identifying credible resources and integrating this knowledge into their daily lives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my work, I apply Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients clarify their goals and envision their preferred future. Rather than focusing solely on the problem, we explore strengths, past successes, and current resources to develop actionable steps forward. This approach is future-oriented, strengths-based, and empowering—ideal for clients seeking practical strategies and timely results. SFBT supports clients in building confidence and recognizing the progress they are already making.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I integrate Trauma-Focused CBT to support individuals—especially those impacted by early life trauma or ongoing traumatic experiences—in safely processing and healing from distress. This evidence-based model combines CBT principles with trauma-sensitive interventions, including psychoeducation, affect regulation, cognitive processing, and narrative development. I provide a supportive, culturally responsive space where clients can reclaim their voice, build resilience, and reduce trauma-related symptoms such as hypervigilance, shame, or emotional dysregulation.
